****ing thieving bastards. Not only is the 20% of contents AND shipping disgusting but the post-offices "handling" fee, which is so obviously a trumped up, completely unjustifiable, imaginary fee for doing nothing whatsoever, except what they've already been paid to do. :x :x
This is why i now circumvent tax and handling fees on EVERY single international purchase and i now make close to a thousand £s worth a month and i sleep very well knowing how much i'm keeping from the greedy bastards. 8)

Mate thats lame. I ****ing hate customs fees. Had to pay £14 this morning for a bunch of loosies and weapons!

But was this card just left in that big ol' box with no protection? Did you get it from eBay? I'd say maybe try contacting the seller, but its going to be hard to prove.

If you are going to keep it, maybe try and get a partial refund from the seller. And I know this is probably an unpopular suggestion, but maybe consider getting a repro bubble from Beggarscanyontoys and placing it over the top to support the original bubble without any destructive fixing, and more importantly without further damaging the bubble?

Hey Guys1 I have used this Customs code now 10 times and not had to pay a single penny

It works a treat 8)

'Old collectible toy' HMRC code 9705000090

That's awesome, do you just get the sender to write it on the package?

That's really crap packaging - unsuitable box, no bubble wrap or peanuts?? You should be able to get something back from the delivery service surely?

As for the info from DSL, that's really useful, gonna use that in future, thanks :D

****!

Pretty pish poor packing job IMO. I'd be sending that back for a full refund.

Good effort on the custums code Liam! And Pete, good effort and saving paying the exhorbitant fees. Them and the general tax system in this country really **** me off.

i would definately ask for my money back on that one mate, it wasnt protected and has been damaged, you might be able to come to a mutual agreement with the seller but if they are arsey you have picture evidence that ebay will side in your favour.

99% of the time the seller will come through though.

Blimey that is a mess.

The parcel force fee is a joke. Although what gets me more than anything is that HMRC dont just tax the value of the item they tax the shipping costs too. I had a parcel sent from US to UK by UPS worth around £3,000 marked as £20. The shipping was £85. I got a £35 charge to pay the courier when it turned up!!!!!

Liam just to let you know Old collectable toys are still taxed or should be but only 5%. So unless you get the value marked low you could still get stung. Depends on whether the shits in customs are having a good or bad day :)
