DAGOBAH PLAYSET????

Hi folks!
I recently picked up a boxed dagobah playset, the box was not in the best condition but all the correct parts are present, anyway theres a part in the playset that r2d2 sits in its brown spongy foam, the problem is its just gone to mush (bit like a chocolate browny) and it all fell off, its useless now and i even managed to squeeze all the foam into a brown ball. (yuck!)

is this a common problem and are there ways of replacing this foam???

Sadly, its a very, very common problem

You can buy replacement foam on eBay as far as I know but I have never went down that route myself. Maybe one of the other guys can help you out :wink:

I personally opened a MISB dagobah playset around 8 years ago and the foam was just falling apart.
this must happen to them all. I bet all the AFA graded ones would be the same inside to.

I also read as well somewhere of someone opening a MISB wampa and it had yellowed while it was in its box. So i wonder if quite a lot of vintage toys we pay a fortune for all discoloured and ruined in their cardboard boxes.
