Yeah totally crazy today! That Yak face!

Will add all the details at some point tomorrow.

I won one lot and One that I didnt really want to win but heyho! (The Palitoy 12 Back Resealed Vader)

I guess if you sum out the parts - the coin (still sealed), the cardback and the Yak then you aren't a million miles off - but still seems on the high side

Think the Anakin went for the right sort of money (again poss a bit high) the card looked in better shape but the figure and coin are worth less

easier to buy one single yak and a card back for less then 200

and forget a little glue

Yeah sure, i want to see you pull that off, buying a POTF Yak face card in good condition like that togheter with a loose yak face and mint yak face coin for less then 200....

I am sure the figure and coin will cost you more then 200 alone and probably the carback will cost you more than 200 aswell.

 Jesus what a big auction.

Remember the coin was sealed to the card, which counts for something I guess. :)

Thanks for those details Dark Sith Lord. 8)

Well.. I've just had some annoying news...
I bid on a lot in this auction. The closing bid was my top price (as per the list above), so I looked on The Saleroom website who I'd used to leave a commision bid - Yay, it says I've won! :D

... or so I thought...

Actually though, the auctioneer has apparently ignored my online bid and only taken the bid in the room on the day. So despite the website still saying I won, I've just been told on the phone that I haven't won.
No idea what the point of them having an online commision bid option is, if despite leaving a bid the day before it's then ignored by the auctioneer!

After my Vectis customer service (or lack of) experience, I was pretty sure this couldn't have been as bad.. Clearly they're all the same.

That's so annoying, I woulden't be happy at all. I'm sure the seller woulden't either if he new, the auctioneer is clearly not doing his job properly. Have you complained?

These auctions seem to be causing more increase in Star Wars collectables, and a lot of pissed off customers. With the charges the auction house charges to seller and buyer , I don't see the value

Steve

Yeah, imagine if a certain Palitoy collector, mentioning no names Mr Smith, was to put his collection up for auction - the vintage Star Wars world crash the internet (and Vectis, Astons or whoever would make an absolute killing)

Ha!

There is no way I would go through the auction route were I to sell. At times it's be unfortunately a necessary evil in order to pick certain pieces up, but I still maintain the seller would probably get more selling through a website or even eBay, when you consider the buyer's premium limiting people's bids and the commission!!

Yeah - I'd agree - just think how much money went to Vectis for that Boba Fett - money that would have stayed in the community

Still - your auctions would be the equivilent of Kim Kardashian's arse for sure
