Hi all, I am new to the forum so please excuse if I am posting in the wrong area.
The reason I am posting is because I was about to bid on a full set of 17 mint POTF vintage figures from an ebay shop called Costablanca Starwars. The cost is quite a bit so I thought that I would google the the name just to be sure that he dosent have a bad rep but lo and behold he has an awfull rep for various scams. My main question is are there fake POTF figures out there as well as weapons and capes ans so on? Unfortunately I don't know how to spot a fake figure. Also if anyone could recomend a place where I can buy a full set of POTF figures that would be good.

Hi AC - a very good move googling costablancastarwars he is a real blight on the hobby, despite his 'painstaking' work

There are very few fake figures out there but guaranteed all the capes and weapons will be repro.

Some of the main dealers my sell full sets of Potf figs but you'd get them cheaper buying individually from here or on eBay.

Good luck

Hi mate - welcome to the forum

If you bought a Stormtrooper on a repro card for example the figure itself is likely to be a repro not just the gun

Hope that helps somewhat

Do not buy these fake cards for gods sake

They are crap and they are terrible for the hobby. Years ago i got one just out of curiosity and sealed up a figure. When i saw the error of my ways i ripped the figure out and binned the card. What i can tell you is that the printing process on these fakes must use some unfriendly chemicals because the cards stink like silicon sealant after a while. It's possible that if you resealed a white figure that the print may stain the figure. I wouldn't risk it. And that's not to mention the crap print quality and fact that you can spot they are fake a mile off. Stick to the real deal 8)

Don't line his pockets mate

Costawankerstarwars  you beat me to that Stefan

Don't know if he's a massive prick - personally, I don't know him at all - maybe he's an okay guy to his relatives, whatever.
I myself think he's just a guy trying to make money in this world - bad thing is he sells things that can do harm to others.

In the end it's the same as weapons - the seller is not killing anyone - the one using the weapon is the killer.
Or like Filesharing Sites - planned for the good, abused by the bad - why blame the siteowner instead of the abusing users?

Although Poon states clearly in his auctions that these are repros - they might get resold as originals - that's the fear of most.
In my opinion, he should have marked them in the mold, like say a "F" under the foot or something.

If these get sold as reals, the seller is to blame, not the producer. Just my 2 cents.

That's fine BUT his listings in the past have included lies like " I bought these in a lot " = I made a big batch " I'm not sure if it's real "= they're fake I made them, " one of a kind " = till next week when I list another one- blah blah ****ing lies.

Oh, didn't knew that - just was aware of the recent activities. So he is a prick.

Don't get me started. I did make a personal pact never to get involved in these debates again, so i won't. Not after last time  ... *followed by a massive test of will power*

He also sells fakes as originals so bad all round.

Has at least three ids on eBay

Jediretrocards and purestarwars are two off the top of my head. But there are plenty of watch out threads

He also lives in Spain, but listings state that he's based in the UK
