Complete boxed collection and over 250 complete figs £3700

Thanks for all the offers. I have been thinking hard and I am not sure I can let my collection go now it has come down to it.
I am sorry if I have wasted anyone's time and I know itfciain has done a lot of organizing over the last day or two to raise funds and apologise for wasting his and anyone else's time. I have thought about nothing else over the last few days and really think I would be happier keeping it all for the time being. Sorry to let anyone down :(

No let down at all. Even more, you made a wise decision. Hope you can raise the money elsewhere.
Good luck and nice to have you back in the circle.

To be honest keep it. If you need some cash pick out the bits your happier to see go first, then sell bit by bit. Hopefully somewhere to live or buy will come up again.

Thanks again and apologies to ictfiain who was very understanding :) I would be quite upset if I had spent a day raising all that money and then for the seller to pull out :(
I didnt think it would be as hard to do, but I knew that as soon as it was gone, I would be collecting again and wouldnt rest untill I had most of the items back in the same mint condition.
It still might go up for sale, but I think that I would need the land or house secured before I am happy to let my collection go to use the money toward it :(
itfcian will always have first refusal on it and I was going to keep the sandcrawler, tie interceptor and an at at, but that i Know that would never be enough.
This was the plot of land I was thinking of buying and I needed £3540 in the auctioneers bank account by Tuesday :

The auction will be on Thursday and there is the possibility that I would have to raise even more cash depending on the winning bid :) Still really insterested in it but hopefully more like it will come up when our house is sold, then I should have a small but decent enough deposit. Thanks again for all your interest and pms and comments. All the best, Jonathan :)

Well, the plan as hairbrained as it seems is to stick one of these on it:

You dont need planning permission as the are under 9ft tall and they start as £12,000 a room and all up with the starwars collection sold I should have nearly £20,000.
Its either that or rent a one bed flat on shite street, Norwich with two wardrobes full of starwars toys

Not being funny but wouldn't a caravan be better? You could still buy the land and just stick a van on it. Power might be an issue but presumably to build a structure like the one you've shown you would have to route eleccy to it. That building looks tiny and not cozy at all. Failing that you could buy a barge and live on it. Just a couple of suggestions

Good luck with the plans bud.

I get the idea, plot of land, your own "castle" on it

I would love to live in the country, no neighbours, just me the mrs and our dog, will damn well do it one day :!:

Why do I see some pictures in my head of a ewok caravan travel to kill the giant gorax from the Ewok movie :?

Find somewhere with a massive tree on it, build a wookie house on it, dress in furs and live out your days pretending to be in the holiday special

That's what I'm doing right now...

It is a lovely spot of land in Norfolk. I sold my collection to itfcian on here in the end and put a bid on the land. The guide price was £5000 to £10000 and it went for £31000 and my bid was 11000 :( So I have no collection and no land, but at least I gave it a shot.
I have asked ian about getting a few boxed items back, and will be posting in the wanted section for pretty much everything. I plan to take my time, keep looking for land deals, but putting a collection together again of completley mint boxed and loose figures.
I didnt think I would miss the collection this much, but its early days and Im sure it will be fun collecting items on here and ebay.
Thanks for all your comments and all the best chaps :D

Don't be to dis-heartened my friend. Now you have all those Star Wars buzzes to look forward to!!

You can take your time and I am sure Iain will help you out as much as he can.

Don't forget:

"He who dares, wins"... Maybe not this time but you gave it your best shot!

Good luck with the new collection.

Bram
:D

Thanks for those kind words and encouragement :)
I have just bought a boxed Jabba and Rancor to start with :) Think Ill go for all the boxed stuff and the more expensive figures first and just want to make sure every item is mint and complete. I believe blue snags are worth a lot more these days. I think I paid £80 for mine about 8 years ago so I dont think Ill pick one up at the same price :(
I am looking forward to collecting again. Its been ages since I bought anything starwars related and ill keep you all posted. All the best chaps :)
