Welcome to the forum, you will get lots of help and advice from the members. With collecting you need to look at what catches your eye, vintage or modern, moc or loose or a combination of the four. Either way it's the fun of the chase. Good luck 👍

Welcome to the hobby. As the rest of the guys have said, consider some things that make you happy and start from there. Your journey will change constantly as you see new things and inspirations.
 
Interesting to get the perspective of someone who is 18 coming into the hobby..... are you planning on collecting vintage or modern ? :)
