Archived Collection of Vintage Star Wars toys to sell.

Hi

My name is Rachel and I live in Brighton. Over Easter, my husband and I were helping his dad clear out his loft and we came across some of his old toys from the late 70's/ early 80's. He is keen to sell them on to a good home, we would like a fair price for what we have got. We have looked into eBay and will post them on there if they don't sell here, I am aware that we might get more posting on eBay but would prefer to sell for less to someone that really wants them. We have been offered £250 for the lot from someone on gumtree, but after doing some research I don't believe this is a fair price? I would be grateful for any opinions/advice that anyone can give us. We are new to all this!

I have tried to upload photos but it says "the file is too big, maximum allowed size is 1000KiB" I will try again, I'm not sure how to make the photo smaller (sorry for my ignorance!)

We have got the following (all in a good condition, little bit of dust as to be expected):
Ewok Village-Complete and with box
Rebel Transport
Imperial Tie Fighter
X-Wing Fighter
Darth Vadar Tie Fighter
Rebel Snowspeeder
Scout walker Vehicle
TaunTaun
Powerdrad
Hoth Wampa
We also have empty boxes for AST-5, Tripod Laser Canon and Radar Laser Canon.

We are happy to sell the collection as a whole or individual pieces. We have also got some other toys of that era e.g a boxed Secret Wars Tower of Doom and an Evil Knieval Stunt Cycle- any ideas where I can sell these?!

It's an Evil Knieval Stunt Cycle, Gyro-energiser from the 70's.

Hi Guys,

I popped round to see this collection and although it is not for me I picked up a few loose figures and some accessories for my collection. I also promised to put some pictures on the forum for Rachel and her husband to help with the valuation of the vehicles, which I struggle with somewhat. Here is the star wars stuff. It is all from Rachels husbands childhood collection:

The mini rig boxes are empty, and some of the vehicles are missing bits, although there are also spare parts of other vehicles and playsets. The troop transporter and ewok village seem complete. The box has no inserts. They are looking to sell this as one lot. I put a value with assistance at between £200 and £250 in this condition, but please feel free to point out if this is wildly wrong. Im also unsure about the posters.

They also have the following which is to be sold, which I am pretty clueless on, but I know some of you guys deal in other stuff.

I think everything is to be sold. I spoke to Rachel yesterday and she is keen to reclaim her kitchen table, so if you are interested, I suggest you get in contact as these lots may soon be on ebay.

Just thought I would update you with what else has been sold:
The Big Track
All the Lego
Empire Strikes Back Poster.

Star Wars stuff I still have is:
The Ewok Village- boxed and in good condition.
The Rebel Transport-unboxed but good condition.
Darth Vadar Tie Fighter-unboxed and the bottom front panel is missing/damaged.
Scout Walker Vehicle-unboxed and in good condition.
Tauntaun- unboxed, has a soft belly that opens, it is in reasonable condition but the harness buckle is broken but it could be fixed.
Hoth Wampa-in ok condition, a bit yellow.
I also have a few little ship things that I do not know the name of (in bottom left of first photo.)

Non Star War wise I have:
Corgi Galaxy Space Hopper- boxed and in good condition.

A collection of toy cars from late 70's/early 80's: Hotwheels Mercedes 540K in original packaging, Corgi juniors taxi, Matchbox Dodge Challenge.
Megatron Original Deception Leader Transformer-good condition, unboxed.
Evil Knieval stunt cycle- good condition, it works and unboxed.
Hornby Railway stuff, boxed but I think some bits are missing.
A few books all in good condition: The Beano book from 1964, Beezer Book 1985, Dandy 1987, Return of the Jedi St Michael story book (1983) and Spider Man annual 1981.
