Collecting regrets?? Sold something and later regretted it?

No huge selling regrets yet, but definatly had some buying regrets.

See something on ebay...
fancy it, put a bid in ...
but get out bid at the last moment ...
do a little research and go f*** so thats what they go for...
see another on ebay, but selling for alot more...
put in a bid ... oh crap did I really pay that much. Why did I do that. :?

Am glad i sold off nearly all my collection. I hated have all my collection in boxes not on display. Am now happy with the small collection i have. Finally going to get it down to living room in display cabinets

Regrets plenty. Wish i was a millionaire so i could have kept every piece I ever owned. Fact is in most collections things have to go to make room for new acquisitions.

Biggest regret was selling off my first EB Set a few years back and then paying way over the odds to get it back from the reluctant seller. I also heavily regretted selling off my MISB SW vehicle/playset collection but not as much as the EB Set. The regrets faded after about a year of selling the vehicles and playsets collection.

Since then i have upgraded to a better EB Set so the pain/regret has gone but at the time I sold of my EB Set that was the biggest collecting mistake i ever made. I didnt think it bothered me until I started looking through my collectors books.

I sold 109 vintage carded figures in 200ish plus loads of G1 Transformers. I invested it in drink, girls, strippers and a 10k BMW which I blew up 2 years later and got 1k scrap for it.

Sounds very much like my last year mate, bar the strippers

See you need the strippers too mate. They producemore memories per pound
