Chief Jawa

I just saw this in a 1978 Palitoy Sales Division Catalogue (online, not in hand) and wondered if anyone new when the name was changed to just 'Jawa'?
Would a SW 12 back proof have had Chief Jawa on for example or did it never make it onto a card at all?

Could be just a Palitoy mistake - they did refer to Greedo as 'Green Greedo' in some promotional advertising, which is something I only found out about just recently in another thread.

Just noticed on the same page DV is listed as Lord Darth Vader which I think I've only seen on a foreign card as Lord Darth Fener (Harbert maybe??)

It's my Palitoy catalogue , there was lots of changes to figures , names at this time and lots of miscommunication , eg the blue snaggletooth . However the figures are cool as hell and it would be great if someone had the orginal photo shot figures

Also on the build of green Greedo , in the seventies that is what we all said , I want to get the Green Greedo , I spoke to one of my non Star Wars friends and he still calls him Green Greedo !

I love all this sort of stuff. I think Kenner were winging it to a certain extent. Maybe some of these decisions just came down to a brief discussion between a few people who may or may not have even been that familiar with the films and characters.

And can I assume that everyone spotted the double-telescoping saber in Luke's arm? For years we were told no vinyl caped Jawas were ever released on Palitoy 12 backs, and most of us believed that... and then some appeared. Who knows, perhaps a few DT Lukes made it out on Palitoy cards as well?... And for those who say no they didn't, prove it! :wink:

I think this was mentioned in Plastic Galaxy, it was a sock that was used as a cape for the photos!!
