Characters returning in The Force Awakens and Episode 8 &9

Yeap, spot on Gary.

Saying that I don't even acknowledge to prequels, they are an abomination.

Am watching them at the moment with the Mrs as she can't remember having ever seen them.

There are aspects of them I really like. I do feel like I'm in the Star Wars universe most of the time.

But the feel of parts of them, which are too childish/slapstick comedy like, and the over reliance on CGI greatly detracts from their overall potential.

Not to mention some weird plots and creepy acting from Anakin in Attack of the clones!

The dialogue is abysmal. It was never exactly top notch in SW, but the prequels plumb a whole new depth.

Also the scene where Anakin turns to the dark side is pure "WTF, is that IT!?" One of, if not THE single worse scenes I have ever seen. In any film. Ever.

I don't mind the prequels as much as some but obviously a lot of terrible mistakes were made but I did like a few of the characters like Maul and Grievous but yeah way, way to much CGI and terrible acting by some but the new peeps coming in look from first glance like they'll do a far better job!

I'm looking forward to see how the old characters lives play out in the next few and would like to see most stay for at least the first two before the next generation come to the fore but seeing some of the old faces pop up would be nice, Hope Boba gets his own movie and if I don't see Bossk and the other BH's I'll be a sad panda!

One thing is for sure going to be an interesting decade for the SW universe! :D

I think how it he turns gradually across the 3 films is good. But yes the final scene was a bit...is that it!?!

The dialogue at times was always strange.

Then chuck in Jar Jar Binks and yousa really bad!!

Anakin's lines in Clones and Sith are badly delivered more than just being bad lines.

Yeah, a good actor can full off, or at least improve, bad dialogue. A bad actor (Hayden Christensen I'm looking right at you)....

He's so bad he even ****ed up the scene at the end of ROTJ...and he didn't even have any lines!

Well he says it was all to bring his original vision to life.

Which might suggest that the original OT was good by chance as he couldn't make it as he really wanted!

Since Jedi came out George Lucas really has done his best to ruin SW.

Hell yes, I've actually got a t-shirt with that sentiment printed on it!

Really excited about the new film (now that I've seen the trailer) I do want to see some familiar species walking about in the background and can't wait to buy new carded figures of old characters :D

I hope Mace Windu makes a come back and we get to see his big purple................lightsaber again.

Just watched some of the one on one interviews with the "legacy" characters from Anaheim and really got me excited to see them all back again and Mark, Carrie and Billy really did seem in great form regardless of the passing of time although some of the vitriol from the comments section disgust me but hey that's the interwebs for you and a reminder if I really needed it to never bother with them again!...

But as usual with Youtube it leads you on a merry voyage and Carrie Fisher is amazing and one line that stands out from her one woman shows made me piss my sides "they say religion is the opiate of the masses and I took masses of opiates religiously" lol she really is funny, what a woman!...I really do hope most of them make it to next years celebration although I'm looking forward to meeting Billy D, David Prowse and Jeremy Bulloch in Glasgow in August! :D
