I'm beginning to think the Star Wars multipacks are the best and most coveted action figures sets out there. You have some real gems. I'd love to get my hands on the 'Creature Set' one day.

Thanks for keeping you eye out for me Steve. I've not seen one for a little while now. I would love to add one one day but I'm so heavily involved with 3 pack hunting that the Irish set may have to wait a while longer.

Thanks Mr kenner. It depends who you ask I guess bit yes, there are some incredibly rare sets out there. if you ever want any help or guidance in terms of rarity then please do ask. I wouldn't say I was an expert but i know a fair bit aboutspecial action figure 3 packs.

Awesome Chris. They all look great together. I love those ESB sets on the higher shelf. The boxes to those are awesome. 8)

How many different combos of 3packs are there? How hard are they to come buy in general? (I know they aint easy to find, but relatively speaking)
 
Cas your 3 pack run is taking shape nicely. I especially like the Box Flat and the white test box example.

There are 16 different 3 packs to collect. Seven which carry the Star Wars logo. These are split into 2 waves.

Wave 1

Hero Set - Small head Han, Obi Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia
Villains Set - Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Death Squad Commander
Android Set - R2 D2 , C3PO, Chewbacca

Wave 2 (These sets have the special offer logo top right and contain a special backdrop)

Hero Set - Luke X wing, Obi Wan Kenobi, Large Head Han
Villains Set - Boba Fett, Snaggletooth, Tusken Raider
Creature Set - Greedo, Hammerhead, Walrus Man
Droid Set - R5D4, Death Star Droid, Power Droid

There were 9 sets that carried the ESB logo. These were released in 3 waves containg three sets in each.

Wave 1 (Special Offer Logo but no backdrop)

Hoth Rebels - Han Hoth, Rebel Soldier, FX-7
Bespin Alliance - Luke Bespin, Lando Calrissian, White Bespin Guard
Imperial Forces - Hoth Trooper, Ig 88, Bossk

Wave 2

Rebel Set - 2-1-b, Leia Hoth, Rebel Commander
Bespin Set - Han Bespin, Ugnaught, Lobot
Imperial Set - Imp Commander, Dengar, AT AT Driver

Wave 3

Rebel Set - Leia Hoth, R2 D2 Sensor, Luke Hoth
Bespin Set - C3PO Removable limbs, Ugnaught, Cloud Car Pilot
Imperial Set - Zuckuss, AT AT Driver, Tie Fighter Pilot



A series 1 Hero Set just sold today on ebay for around £1800. Thats a popular one but not necesarily one of the rarest.

It will be a long and windy road for sure but I will just have to do my best. I never expected to do as well as I have so far so Im thanking my lucky stars!

Nice info Chris, never knew there were so many tbh and streuth at the price of the harder to find ones!! You certainly chose a tuffy but think you'll done acceptionally well so far, specially with the ESB White Prototype Test Package. :D

Glad the info. is of some use Ham. Most of it is in the Kellerman book but some of the prices are a bit out on that book now. It shows very little in terms of price difference between certain sets which no longer seems to be accurate. A great resource for images and general information though.

Tell me about it weaz! There are certain sets that I will have to just have to come to terms with never owning. It's a shame because I love the bespin alliance set with Luke bespin.

Thanks alot Liam I did indeed. I went skiing for a week to Spain. Loved it!

Also a huge thanks to you Ryan, the new set looks stonking in the case you got me for secret santa! Cant wait to do a group shot with the poster you got me too! I really appreciate it buddy. 8)

I went with school Ryan. Im a teacher you see and as a result it didnt actually cost me anything. It was an offer I couldnt refuse.

We went to a resort called Masella in Spain. Great skiing and weather. Couldnt have asked for more.

Thanks again for the case mate, it really does set it off nicely and adds vital protection.
 
Great addition Chris - was this the one you were on tender hooks for ? Did customs sting you in the end ?
 
Cool nice job perk! Too easy with the case bud as I said Steve from UKG was awesome nothing was too much and he even gift wrapped it for you at no extra charge. Now that's service.

All the best with the move, I bet there will be a few boxes with double the fragile tape on them!

We are moving house too in the next few months daunting task at the best of times.

Thanks alot Iain, it is indeed the one we discussed when we met. So glad it arrived safe and sound and unbelievably I didnt have to pay a penny at customs!! 8) Huge saving which will go into the next three pack fund.


Ryan - It certainly was a nice perk. Ive gotta say it wasnt exactly a holiday but the kids were well behaved and we all had a wicked time. 24 hour coach trip though! Ouch. Good luck with your move buddy. I know what you mean about stressful. Not looking forward to it much.

Wow! Amazing update mate!!! I have jest been pouring pver your collection- what an achievement to assemble so many threepack sets, let alone the stunning run of preproduction, in such a short space of time.
Just awesome buddy.

Ps make you sure when you move, you put all your collection in box and don't let any other person touch it!!! Have it on your lap the whole way!

Thanks for the kind words Anthony - Believe me, what you have managed to achieve in just a couple of months is astounding. You have 5 sets already. There are only a fairly small number of people who have ever completed the full run so keep going buddy. It is possible but you must be patient. I cant wait to see your new one buddy! Get it up on here. :wink:
