I have been looking at some of my figures and trying to update some that have 'touch ups'. However, some of the cards I'm a little unsure of.

Where there might have been scuffing or sticker removal damage, is it possible that it might have took the top layer of card before breaking right through to the core of the card, might it be possible that the cards might not have been touched up and it's simply a very thin layer of the black of the card that might appear to be the 'touched up' areas i'm referring to?

I think i've read somewhere that this damage might have a name?

Yeah its called de-valuing your collection and it can be achieved very quickly!

I've had some success removing stickers by heating up the sticker with a hairdryer and then peeling the sticker but you gotta be careful you dont fry the bubble!

This is what i mean, have a look at this post on IO, look at the description of the cloud car pilot and the damage on the top left.

A couple of cards i have appear to have this sort of damage and i can't work out whether it's just normal damage or someones touched up the damaged area if that makes sense?

i dont think its been touched up - maybe sticker residue or damage cause by sticker removal or just a scratch of some kind.
