My mum often told me how she walked down walthamstow market during her lunch hour carrying the boxed at at under arm.

And she ain't a big women.

i remember i won a tri logo bib fortuna at a hook-the-duck on brighton beach in about 1990. i bet they had loads of other figures there too, they were probably the boobie prize back then

i wonder how many people would be kicking themselves if thery knew how much these things would be worth in just 10 years

I kick my mother instead!

She's the one that told me to sell them all for Ã'£20 when I was a kid!

Ironically enough she's now the one buying them back for me as birthday and christmas presents.

That'll teach her!

Have some great christmas photos. One's got a darth Vaders Star Destroyer box in background one has Slave One!! Will get them off Mum and scan them in!

Bonfire night always brings back a Star Wars memory for me.

I never liked fireworks as I thought they were a waste of money so I always asked for a present instead and will always remember buying a Wampa on the 5th November years ago!! 8)

i can remember my dad bringing home a box of star wars figures from work when i was about 8 i think, 1992. i can remember exactly what was in the box:

2 x loose nikto
2 x 8D8
klaatu skiff guard
klaatu
gamorrean guard
luke jedi
darth vader
the brown mini rig (cant remember its name)

from then on i was hooked. think my dad was pleased as well coz it meant i had something to put my money towards rather than just sweets!!!!

For some strange reason, the smell of satsumas always reminds me of Christmas.

thats not strange, satsumas are traditionally eaten at Christmas (I dont know why) we always used to get one in our stockings from Santa! what lucky kids we were

I sold all my action man and star wars toys to buy bmx gear. I went racing once after that, what a waste

we used to go to the panto and at the end get a satsuma and apple of santa.
and only the other week i found out that santa was my uncle ,and by the sound of it i was the only person in our family who didnt know.
least its one way to find out what your kid wants for christmas

I can remember going to pantos at Christmas.

God, i'd really suppressed those awful memories well.

Thanks for making them resurface.
