Morning all.

This may sound stupid but I am having a bit of trouble purchasing more than one item from a seller in the US.

All his items are buy it now. I have got a quote from him for the items. Yet it seems ebay want me to pay for each item separately with separate postage on each. Doesn't seem to do what it used to do where you pay for the items after, not all in the one process.

Can anyone give me advice on how to get round it or do I have to do it this way??

Cheers guys.

I had this recently with a purchase where I was buying two items from the same seller. It was the way that the seller had got their sales set up, as soon as I went to buy it now I had to instantly pay for the item, I couldn't purchase and pay after, I contacted the seller, had to pay full postage for both items then they refunded me the difference of what we'd agreed. But of a pain in the arse as of course paypal charge for transactions, only other way of doing it is to ask seller to remove items and you pay them directly through paypal, but I suppose that all depends whether yourself and seller are happy taking the transaction away from eBay.

Right pain in the arse.

I haven't had to worry about this for a while as I haven't bought much recently but can't the seller send you a combined invoice. I've definitely done that before as a seller. What a pain in the hoop. The World progresses, EBay regresses!

That's the problem Jez, you have to pay for the item before it is considered sold so there is no way the seller can send an invoice unless they end the auctions and do a deal outside of ebay. Morons must run ebay!!

I have to deal with this all week long, every week. ebay have set things up now to make it harder for buyers to combine purchases. Why? Well, it's the same reason they do everything. Greed.
The bizarre thing is it's fine for some buyers and not for others and i have no idea why. What this has resulted in is me doing more off ebauy deals than ever before because between me and the buyer we just can't work out a simple way of them buyer 5, 6, 7 etc items and then getting an adjusted invoice with combined shipping. So in that sense it's back-fired a bit for ebay.

They really are the most idiotic company in existence.

Yep I've had this problem with BIN's it gives you no choice but to pay the full postage on each item. Luckily all sellers have been accommodating and have refunded through Paypal without a quibble - probably because it's now an everyday occurrence for them.

I didn't even mention it to Todd, just bought the 3 items and paid and he has straight away sent me a message saying any excess postage will be refunded one parcel is sent. Usual excellent service from Todd.

Like you say, must be the norm now!!
