Buying from US

As I'm a complete noob to buying from overseas, wondered if I could get some advice

As some may be aware, I love SW but also collect with my son.
He collects MOTU and THUNDERCATS

Anyway found a US based site with a couple of MOTU items that total around $60

So would need to see what shipping charge is, but what is the score re taxes, customs etc?

Anyone enlighten me please?

If the customs form is marked as merchandise with a value of $60 then you are likely to get charged - it will be around £12-£15 inc Royal Mails handling charge

If the seller marks as 'Gift' on Customs form you should be Okay. Recently had a seller kind enough to do this for me and marked the value at $100 - no customs or tax charges at all.

I had an item valued at $135.00 dollars, seller marked it down on customs form as $50.00 it incurred a charge of £19.71.
