I used to love Smokey and the Bandit
Very sad to hear this. Very underrated as an actor IMO.
So many great films in a very long career. A true legend of US cinema.

RIP Burt Reynold, you were one of the best actors and I remember so many movies with you 
I still have a lot of your movies on a list for movies that I want to see.
But I have also seen many of your movies and thanks for some great movies like
100 Rifles
Deliverance
Silent Movie
Smokey and the Bandit 1 and 2, and I am sure the 3rd would also have been good if you had been in the movie.
The Cannonball Run 1 and 2,the 3rd was ok but would for sure again have been better with you in the movie.

He was superb in Boogie Nights. From what I've read he was concerned with the content of the film. He was definitely an interesting character.

Always remember " the longest yard" as a kid, not seen it since, thought it was called mean machine, but that was his nick name or the teams name??, not really into American Football, but loved the film as a kid, must re watch it, to see how it stands up now, remember shouting mean machine , mean machine around the play ground,

Legend of the 80's Burt Reynolds, loved Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run, family favourites. Used to watch Cannonball Run with my sisters and cousins and constantly quote from it. "Bye bye nice officer!" Those movies were so of their time and all the motors and get-up and everything were awesome. Loved the bloopers at the end too. He was a good actor and had great on screen charisma. My Mum loved him. Real shame, won't be forgotten :wink:

Always loved films like smokey & the bandit & cannonball run, he will be missed, I thought the new take on the classic was fantastic & a nice homage to him with the Bandit edition trans am - want one!!
