I am on the hunt for a stromie that has the most degradation and yellowing possible. Not just slightly yellow,,,but ****ing so yellow he is turd brown. Show me your worst.

Disclaimer: Stormie must have progressively turned this color over decades........no brown eye experiments.

Doh - had plenty last week, but I stuck them in a massive jar or hydrogen peroxide and they're all minty white now (sadly so are my finger tips - use gloves folks!)

I have a sandy one somewhere, dig him out and take a pic

What are you doing with them mate :?:

I am looking for the best (worst examples) of stormies. The browner the better. I am displaying them for historical purposes. Yours is not degraded enough...and no....calling him names will not help degrade him in the way I want him further.

I feel like an outcast
I'm trying my best to collect on a budget but
even my **** figures are now not **** enough

I am a troubled soul

A chewed up Vader I am and feel the turn to the dark side

My attempt....

Tis time to make the choice....but stay...hold thy truth and honesty in thy grasp and hold tight for it never to fly and leave an empty shell of foreboding and darkness, purity of thought and honest deed will win this day, and turn the tide.

And then there is the Bard that can write it properly

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more; and by a sleep, to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,
To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life:
For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,
The Oppressor's wrong, the proud man's Contumely,
The pangs of despised Love, the Law's delay,
The insolence of Office, and the Spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his Quietus make
With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered Country, from whose bourn
No Traveller returns, Puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have,
Than fly to others that we know not of.
Thus Conscience does make Cowards of us all,
And thus the Native hue of Resolution
Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment,
With this regard their Currents turn awry,
And lose the name of Action. Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia? Nymph, in thy Orisons
Be all my sins remembered.

I feel the same way

I did have a really brown / orange Stormtrooper - he was so orange, Tango could've used him for promotional purposes - but in the interests of science I bathed him in hydrogen peroxide to see what all the fuss was about.

He came out reasonably good (the middle picture was after a spell in HP only, the right picture was after some added oxycleaner):

Sorry this post doesn't help you any, but I wanted to show how bad he used to be. :D

He lost all his charm. :( ....
I have to agree... I like the yellowing/browning of limbs and other plastic parts, I don't see it as something that needs to be corrected. It's 35 years worth of patina... we should revel in their vintage splendour :D

Antique and coin collectors will say items depreciate in value when you polish and clean them. Maybe it applies to these as well.
