Boxed Tie Interceptor - UPDATED working electronics!

So, back in the 90s when I was a teenager, my Star Wars collection was remembered fondly and stored safely in my attic. My friends were slightly impressed that I had managed to collect and retain so many. One such friend mentioned that a friend of his had this boxed Tie Interceptor in his garage. I asked if I could have it and for either a very small fee, possibly nothing, it was mine.

This piece holds no real sentimental value to me as I never played with it. It has been taken out of the box and shows what looks to be done rust on the springs that pop out the wings. The box has unfortunately been ripped but the inserts are still there.

It also looks like one of the stickers is missing.

I have no real idea what this would be worth but I would consider selling it if it allowed me to achieve other landmarks in my collecting goals.

So if anyone could put a value on this I'd greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone has any questions please let me know.

The tear in the box can't be repaired and that sticker would be nigh on impossible to find but it looks unused and does have the inserts. Electronics may or may not work but if there is rust on the springs then its reasonable to assume moisture has got inside as well so I'd say £120 or so.

Anyone else?

I think it looks better without the decals anyway.
I suppose you could source a fully decalled wing off ebay but would you ever apply the rest of the decals ? I wouldn't.
I agree with the estimate since the box tear is on the side.

Yes, the electronics do make a difference and although functioning electronics add nothing to the value, non-functioning certainly detract!

As already said, shame about the sticker and box tear, but overall it's wonderful. £120 isn't unrealistic, I think. If it was mine I would then hunt down another example with e decent box and swap the contents over.

Out of interest, what's your focus or what landmark/goals are you looking to achieve? An interested party may be able to offer a trade beneficial to both rather than a sale.

Well more for desirability in my opinion. For example with working electrics i personally am interest, without then i am not

Ok - so I tested the electonics tonight and they seem to work. At least the light does. I can't remember if there is supposed to be sound too???
