Notice theres a ton of new collectors on the forum at all times and I can never seem to find old threads.

When I got into collecting there was no internet, no ebay, no forum. All I had was model mart magazine, Steve Sansweets Concept and his Tomart 1st Ed Star Wars books and a few market stalls and dealers.

Had a rare video as well that had all of the Kenner commercials on it. They are now easy to find on YouTube. At the end of the video was this collection by a collector called Bob Fisher. As you can see (eventhough the quality is poor) his collection is awesome. He was a major inspiration to why I collect all vintage Star Wars.

I'm going post some more video's from people whom have created some of the finest Star Wars collections and were the pathfinders that we now follow.

Wow  Yeh thanks for posting those :p

That Death Star alone has to be worth at least 50K. Priceless really. Incredible!

Thanks for posting these , I had never seen the Gus Lopez one before.

along with what Darren said sadly Bob Fisher passed away and I believe his collection was sold at auction , a few of the guys from Rebelecum attended it.

Thanks

Vince

Yeah, sad news.

I would like to own a piece of Bob Fishers collection. He was/is such an inspiration, I'd totally add anything of his to my 'top items only' display.

A real feast for the eyes.... great to have all these videos in one place. I'd forgotten about The Empire Strikes Back candy, great to see that in the collection that's now been sold. My parents owned a newsagents and we had these in stock. The sweets inside tasted bloody awful as I recall... ugh, I can remember the taste now, it was as if they'd been dipped in cheap perfume then left to marinate inside the plastic heads so that you got that real essence of artificial flavouring. I wish I'd got my dad to save the outer box, though

Thanks for posting up these links! As Martin said, nice to know that the collection including the confectionery has gone back into the system - gives us newbies some hope of being able to lay our hands on a small slice of the pie in future!

Indeed so, some extremely dedicated enthusiasts and mighty collections. Great viewing these vids, cheers!
