Black Hole Collections (not the Disney film!)

Hi lads,

I keep hearing about black hole collections where rare stuff disappears never to see the light of day again & was wondering if anyone knows what's out there or what's rumoured to exist & what countries these collectors are from ie,UK,USA,France,etc etc :?:

That's a difficult one.I have been doing shows for a long time and know of a lot of collectors that don't have anything to do with forums and keep themselves to themselves.there are a lot of very large collections out there.
On a side note there are a lot of collectors that don't do the AFA thing so a low pop report certainly doesn't mean rare.

I always considered black hole collections as larger ones where the collector hardly ever (or never) sells their stuff. I have been selling more lately, but most of my stuff will never resurface for sale until my demise most likely.
