Until now?!

The black squid and white bib are so rare i darent think what price they would command, they were early proto samples, the bib would just be a fake in my eyes unless someone unearthed one from a kenner employee.

you would be looking at 8-9k i would think

I've seen several fake ones over the years though...

theres thousands of white/black and red caped fakes out there, ive even seen blue capes, its purley to stump a newbie into thinking they have a super rare item.

That one looks like someone tried to dye a Bib cape, to look like LL one probably, and put in too much dye.

I was thinking that - it does have a kind off reddish tinge

well the guy who selling him in a large bundle of other vintage figs, says that they have been stored away for 25years, am in process of doing more investigative work at the moment. here's an interesting link may change your mind on black cape bibs http://forum.rebelscum.com/t811840/ plus this quote that goes with it

"Well some of this guys info is correct the problem is he twists it for his own purposes. There are only I belive 2 known REAL Black caped bibs, both of these are either hard copies or internal first shots. There is also no doubt in my mind that the seller is giving you exactly what he says "This original Kenner Return of the Jedi Star Wars action figure (Bib Fortuna)"
The figure may be real but the cape isn't.

James"

I'm still not convinced on the one for sale but you never know.

there is no way in the world that somone has an internal black caped prototype bib fortuna in their loft for 25 years, there is always a story behind something so rare.

most of these rare items are accounted for and in private collection.

its a fake :)

see this is the thing i know the guy and have sold him items before and its his best friend that is selling them so i have no real reason not to believe that he has had them stored away for 25yrs that would be 1987 if hes telling the truth, did they even produce those kind of fakes back then??

if of course as i said before he's not lying, but it is his best friend and he's told me that this best mate of his has wanted to sell them for years but just never got around to it.

Very suspicious little lot for me

The Bib is defo a fake and the Boba is certainly not a genuine prototype

The way that it has been advertised is set up to fool people

defo a fake, looks like an attempt at a ledy burgundy bib jacket, he also has a removable rocket fett....yeah right lol

the proto uUS rocket fett had a slot in the backpack, the the mexican ledy removable had was of darker material and has no coo.

this guy is having a laugh

This seller has sold two Complete Last 17 Sets a complete 79 set before on ebay that i know of so I dont think if from his best friend :|

Be careful mate :)

Also, isn't it amazing that the guy has had these in his loft for the past 25 years and the figures that he owns (Yak Face & Blue Snaggletooth ) are two of the rarest commercial loose figures out there

i'm marking this alot as highly suspect with bib being one, the fett another and apparently the squid head is fake cape too, give a wide birth to this lots guys i am telling all you guys on the forum, i will be in contact with my mate and let him know his friend if you rightly say he has this friend is selling some very dodgy items.

cheers Mark

Plus, if his mate knows he's a star wars figure dealer or collector, he'd of asked years ago?!

Inspector Iain to the rescue!
