Hi all,

After a bit of advice here. I bought a figure off someone (not on here) and it's arrived today in a box that is way too small and subsequently the card is now bent and has a very large crease.

I've emailed the seller asking them to explain and discuss a refund or a hefty discount. Do you think that is ok?

Never had this happen before so not sure of the protocol;)

Don't worry, if he doesn't reply i'll make sure he gets flamed! Ha ha!

Yeah that's the best way to go about it. Give him a chance to explain himself and make right. If he doesn't play ball then start proceedings with paypal. Unless you paid by gift, then you're screwed.

Yes mate, I think that is very fair.
Take the price you paid, and subtract what you think it is now worth and ask for that as a partial refund.
eBay policy is mixed, normally they refund the whole amount and you have to return the item.

This is always a fear, I have started double boxing all the MOCs I sell just incase

Lol for a minute there I thought that might be me - then I remembered that you had posted mine up in the LA thread - phew !

Think you are doing it the right way - it is always difficult when it is someone on the boards because in one way you feel more let down because they should know better and in another you feel bad for having a spat with someone who you would probably consider as a friend (or at least an 'internet friend')

 no it's not you Iain!

And yes Pete it was a gift payment :(

I'll await his reply. Got the thing sandwiched between two books to see if that will work
