Hi, just had a few thoughts about items I've had in the past and sold on (and have regretted ever since, especially now I'm collecting again :( )

So, as the title of the thread suggests here are a few of mine :-

Tri Logo Carded Yak Face (see my previous posts for pics) - another one on the way to replace this one though :D
Tri logo Carded Han Carbonite
ROTJ Carded Boba Fett

Boxed POTF Endor Chase

Diecast Tie Bomber

I'm sure there are loads more so will add items as I remember them.

I sold my Droids Boba Fett a few months ago - it is the first time I have let a MOC go that I don't have. Pretty gutted about it but I got a good offer and it was at a time when I needed the cash

A-wing MIB.

Why?

Cos brain is stupid.
ha ha comedy gold

my regret....my child hood falcon! i only had the shell, electrics rotten all pieces missing, threw it in the bin! as i upgraded to a rotj boxed falcon. wish i kept my childhood one now and done it up maybe

Sold my MIB endor chase and hoth rescue with the rest of my childhood collection in 2004 - really pissed now cos these are 2 of the last 4 MIBs I need to complete 1 of each playset/creature/vehicle.

Whoops.

I sold my childhood ticket and programme for The Empire Strikes Back premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square, London on ebay just a couple of months ago.

In fact, the reason I found this forum was to initially make people aware of my sale... but the warm welcome I received drew me back in to Star Wars collecting, some thirty-odd years after I had made my last purchase...

...and here I am, three months later, with few regrets and a much reduced bank balance. Hey-ho

Still, the chap who bought the programme is an animator for DreamWorks over in California, and the successful bidder on the ticket was a fellow in London who already owned an invite for the very same showing but was there because of his employment with Lucasfilm... so I have no qualms about both those items going to good homes.

I just wish I'd not got back into Star Wars again after I'd sold them... :? Sort of... :D

This doesnt come into the sold category, i gave it away! After a long hunt i finally picked up a loose Sise Fromm, my sister saw this recently and reminded me that i'd given her 2 of those as his purple robe was not befitting a star wars figure and he was more suuitably attired to her dolls house!

Had a Palitoy case fresh factory sealed 12inch Leia Doll that was found in Oxfam(not by me) as part of a factory case of 6 I believe 8)
Sold it at my local toy fair, a dealer/collector followed me round the fair for it.

Also had a mint Palitoy 30 back A Luke Bespin that I picked up from Modellers Loft back in 97 for £80. Ended up trading that and a load of other stuff for an Empire Kenner MOC 41 back Fett that had a slight bubble lift  :(

I wish i had not sold these 3 guys... Even though its not been that long ago when i sold them, its just On top off my regret list.

Yes, I had the german motu 2-Pack with audio cassette, these also go liked nuts on ebay these days. Got it on a rainy holiday trip to the seaside.

Plus I had a loose limbs c-3po and a yoda I played with while my mum made warm white bread on rainy autumn Saturday afternoons. Have them to a poor neighbor kid when I assumed I was to old for playing with figures.

Miss those like hell. STUPID THREAD. BLOODY STUPID THREAD HATE THIS.

Had a few pieces that I would still like to have in my collection including:

AFA 80 Tri-logo Jawa
First Shot (Hand Painted/Non-Sonic Welded) Death Squad Commander
AFA 80 Tri-logo Orange Snake Yoda
MOC Retorno Original R2
MOC Retorno Original C-3PO
POTF MOC Yak Face

However, no real regrets as such as these were either sold or traded in order to acquire other pieces or when I was skint a few years back.

I do have one major 'buying' regret - in approx 2004-2005 I was offered a 12 Back Luke Proof for $540 and passed on it. Not so much from a financial POV but I would dearly love to have that proof in hand nowadays and forever more!

Cheers,
Christian

I remember that Martin. Thought you might regret it. It's ok though we've all sold or lost stuff. Hate thinking how much stuff I lost as a kid. Where did it all go?

Sold a mint boxed ESB X-wing a few years ago when I scaled down. Completely regret it now. Had inserts, decals, the lot. Gutted.

its a close call between my kenner prototype vlix i had about 5 years ago and my life size Anakin from jc penney pod racing gear.

ive collected and then sold the full set of loose figures about 5 times now (including my childhood figures :( )

about 3 years ago i found the cure album boys dont cry in a charity shop for £1 which had been signed by the whole band and last year i sold it for £50 im now regretting that a bit.

Wow - what's more rare a Vlix or Lee Gray with hair?

I have no regrets regarding SW. My old stuff was given away but tbh it was probably played with to death. I have far more stuff now than I ever had. And it's all staying with me. :D
