1 - Daredevil was not that ****, had issues but really isn't the worst.
2 - Yes Pearl Harnour is was and always will be pants and we can add Jersey Gil, Gigli to that list as well.
But that was old Ben. Watch the likes of
Hollywoodland, Smokin' Aces, State of Play, The Town and Argo and try telling me the man can't act....
Also as a director Gone Baby Gone is top draw.
Now the question is can he play Bruce Wayne? Probably, but Batman I doubt it but given his recent output don't knock it till you've seen it is odd they didn't follow on from the Dark Knight and use Joseph Gorden-Levitte, that would have made sense.

Yeah, West was really not my cup of tea, love him in Family Guy but that camp 60's Batman was rubbish, not that, that was West's doing.
I know people talk about good and bad bonds but Batman has been through enough incarnations now to get the same treatment and sadly when you look at it it is more miss than hit. Cinema only:
Keaton - great in the first film not so good on the second.
Val Kilmer - rubbish
Cloony - rubbish (but a great actor, just had nothing to work with)
Bale - The Muts Nuts...... The benchmark for Batman.
So we really only have 1.5 good outings out of the last 4 incarnations.

As an actor, Ben Afleck really isn't too bad at all. Gets unfairly judged. The other films you mentioned are all really good and he does a great job in all of them.
As a director his first 3 offerings have been superb. Very few other directors you can say that about these days!
As for being cast as batman... :lol: :lol: :lol:
It's the sane argument as if you cast George Clooney as Batman. Good actor, decent director and yet Imagine how ridiculous that would be??!... Oh wait...
Put yourself in the shoes of a high profile actor such as Mr Affleck and think about how you would be feeling after you had just been told you were all set to play BATMAN in the upcoming movie. Bet you would be pretty happy right? Then imagine yourself realising that in less than 24 hours since the decision was made, the entire internet is calling you a gigantic turd, laughing at you and even trying to start petitions to get someone else to play the role..
