Grand Master
Not posted in forever as I have moved house 200 miles from where I was & with the place being rather run down & remote I have had my hands real full trying to get the place how I would like it, still far from that but I could not wait any longer to start unpacking some of my star wars goodies.
My main focus & has been for some time, must admit 5 years ago I had never considered the notion of collecting fig's in little bags, but I have well & truly been bitten by the bug of Baggied fig's, it all started when I made up a few Wanted posters (vintage star wars 77-85) & plastered them round the neighbouring town which was conveniently Coalvile which i am sure you all know it the ex home of the Palitoy factory, I was hoping to try & get the remaining figures I needed to complete my loose figure run.
Then 2 days later I get a call from a very nice lady offering me 15 figures which she still had tucked away in the loft remaining left overs from the stock she took home from the factory on its final day, so the story go's - she was there till the factory closed its gates & went to the stock clearance bonanza, she was given a bin liner & told to fill it for a tenner, which she promptly did with star wars/action force & the like, they then spotted she had filled the bag to splitting point & said that that simply would not do, what with her having been such a good long term employee, so they gave her a HUGE box which she was told to keep filling for her tenner
she promptly did so & was then told that also simply will not do, so just back up the car & fill it for £20 squids  , cutting this joyful story short, she ended up driving home with not 1 but 2 cars full to the hilt with Palitoy goodies making her
Now I was reeling at this glorious image in my mind of what I would have grabbed first if it had been me when she interrupted my dreamlike wanderings with the 15 figures she said she had got for me, instantly I was thrown in to a further dreamlike state when I saw what she was bringing out to me - 15 fig's yes, but 13 of the 15 were still in Baggies, until then a thing I had no knowledge or understanding of.
She promptly explained the process of how they used to come in to the factory like that on tear of cardboard strips which would hang on a hook next to a packer on the production line of card passing by on a conveyor belt & on went the reminiscing by her & the learning & understanding of these Baggies by me, been hooked ever since & would like to share the collection of what I have collected since with you guys.
Some of the ones I remember that I got from her were
Bobba Fett
Liea Organa
Ben
power droid
I got the 15 for £50, she said she would not take any more as she knew they were going to someone that would love them, fully knowing they were worth more & yes I did go back with a big bunch of flowers for her.
Not 100% sure about every single ones authenticity, but hoping you guys can be of help on that score.
Not sure how many photos I can insert so will break it up in to a few posts just in case
