Battlefront

Strange you mention helicopters because I think that is the principal behind the inverted - if you pull back on the joystick it goes up, if you push forward it goes down which could be construed as pulling back/pressing down and pushing forward/pressing up on the directional pad? I'm confusing myself now :?

I must be the only person here who thinks this game is garbage. For me it got repetitive before I'd even finished all 4 of the training missions...

most online reviews are the same mate, its the only thing thats stopped me buying and xbox one, graphics awesome, gameplay **** and people will get bored in an afternoon :(

I've not played it yet and won't get to before the 25th (boooo!). The original Battlefronts wasn't anything special, either, but the novelty of running round taking out Stormtroopers kept me playing that game for years. I appreciate this is going to be a shallow game but or me it's going to be all about the going head to head with other, easily pleased SW fans :)

But yes, a real shame they didn't spend sometime on some proper solo missions.

Sold my game on eBay by the way.

But I think it's ok. If you compare it to other similar shooters, such as COD, it's not a patch on those. I think the main issue is a lack of customisation and most of the game modes are quite samey. The last COD game I played regularly was BO2 which has loads of customisation for weapons and player cards, loads of different game modes that lend well to team based play. Battlefront doesn't seem to deliver that. There is some customisation but it's not very exciting, or at least not yet. Also i'm not sure if there's a tiered ranking system as with COD. It looks as though you get to level 50 or whatever it is and that's it. Same with the weapons - once you have them you have them. That's it :?

But even with all the criticism Battlefront is a gorgeous game that plays well enough. Whether anyone will still be hammering it early next year remains to be seen. Once-over a new COD game would come out and for me almost nothing else would be played until the next one. Many a happy hour spent on COD 4, MW2 & 3 :)

I was playing this online today and the battlefield was mental. Thermal Detonators and various bombs going off all over the place. Hoth Rebels and Hoth Stormies blasting the **** out of each other. Darth Vader kicking ass. A player controlled Tie buzzed over my head and I thought 'this is awesome!'. It's not a terrible game :)

I take it back just being playing a game called ' Supremacy' and in fairness when you get used to flying etc.. It's quite good fun, best part jumping in a scout walker :)

Did anybodyshell out 50 big ones and get the season pass for it? I wonder what you get for the price?
The battle of jakku dlc is free to download on the 1st of december if you pre ordered (or just bought a ps4 bundle on launch day as i did) and 8th of december for normal

I can't fly for ****!

If it's a ground battle and I accidentally pick up a Tie Fighter or X-wing power up i'm like 'FFS!!'

I totally & utterly suck at this game. I have spent all week playing.
I would like to take this opportunity to publically apologise if I end up on your team online. I'm the bloke at the bottom of the result table with 4 kills and 16 deaths!!
I 'aim' to get better (pun intended)

If I could change one thing: I would like to have more variety of guns/weaponry during the game. Cycle through them ideally. The primary weapon and the three 'cards' are insufficient especially when one of those card slots is used by the jet pack.

I have to agree with many online reviews: 'style over substance'.
PES this is not.

Bought the package PS4 :) Now the ****ing TV wont take the cables  PS3 worked ok.
Sitting looking at the box last 2 weeks saving to upgrade TV

Right, I now have a two week holiday ahead of me. In between all the festivities and the marking I have to do, I intended to buy this game for my PC.

Now...is it worth it?

I know there's limited single player on here, so i assume that means most gameplay will need to be multiplayer online?

I play on PC, it is worth it.
Make no mistake the game is repetitive - much more COD than Battlefield, but the gameplay is enough to make it fun, especially for a SW fan. There is a single player mode but its really only for training (you can use it to earn Credits though), you will only be playing online multiplayer.
My advice if you're playing PC is have a controller plugged in as well, flying the ships is way easier on a controller so it's handy if you can switch between the two mid-game.

I really struggled at first but now I'm just moderately bad :D

Re: the season pass I think there are planned to be 4 new DLCs over the next 12 months. There are loads of things they could do, Trench Run anyone? :D they do need to fix the space combat, it's limited and rubbish. More maps and modes for that are needed.

I agree with everyone, its repetitive but everything looks so amazing and getting an ATST and blowing the feck out of the rebel scum is great!

I'd buy it Gary, it's good fun, addictive and looks great, also the sound alone makes it good :) there's certain games to play which you defiantly rank up quicker and also get more credits to spend on better weapons etc..

We still play this game in our house. It's good for an hourly blast. My only real complaint is the complete lack of weapon customisation and the pointless character customisation. It would have been so easy to make these a nice feature of the game. Graphics and sound are what make Battlefront. Just those two components are worth buying the game for. Endor and Hoth are like
