So how are we finding Battlefront?

At the moment I think its great although I haven't yet been online. But the training has been superb. Very much like the 2004 battlefront on the ps2.

And this leads me onto the next part...

I have acquired 2 copies. Went to Tesco this morning and picked one up, then I got home and the Mrs has got me another! Can I interest anyone in a brand new standard copy. Opened but only used once. £35 posted

The one the wife got has extra bits on so I want to keep it.

Saw a comparison video of the 2004 one to this one and I have to say bloody hell the game has come a hell of a long way.

It's a lot like the original and controls almost identically. So far the most radical thing for me is the speeder bikes. Absolutely mental, but brilliant when you get the hang of it

I just picked up a ps4 with battlefront yesterday iv not been online either yet
Its ok i like the fact its star wars
The lack of a story mode is a bummer
Eventually il sign up for playstation plus and see what is all about on the line :mrgreen:

Having sworn myself off consoles (no damned time) I have just bought my present from my misses for her :wink: : A 1TB X-Box One plus Battlefront from Smyths Toys for a pretty impressive £279.99. And you can knock another £8.40 off that total if you include Quidco cash back at 3%.

As I say, had sworn myself off but at that money it would have been rude not to.

Now I'm just waiting for the 25th Dec to arrive. With the small matter of TFA and FF and Vectis in between now and then. What a month December 2015 is shaping up to be!

Scruffy I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Said I wouldn't buy a PS4 as I have a PS3 so what's the point right? well I hadn't factored in Battlefront which looks amazing and now I am well and truly in a dilemma. Think I will look to buy one in the January sales and use xmas and my birthday as a motivating factor to buy one .............................. anyone want to buy a slim PS3 next year :lol:

i bought it for myself, my son has an xbox 1 which i have used on the training missions, really impressed so far, yet to try the online experiance

I'm going to be picking this up for my PC.

But not yet as I have way too much work to do for the next 4 weeks and can't risk a distraction. That said I have a 2 week holiday coming up towards the end of December, so I know what I'll be mostly doing during that! 8)

I looked at both consoles today. Xbox has 1 tb now for same price as a PS 500 gb. Has anyone just bought either? Don't know which to buy :?

Having Battlefront envy :x Really want to play this game. Have a 360 but I'm not going to get an Xbox 1 just for one game. Getting into retro gaming at the mo anyway.

I personally don't game ( never have the time now) but my lad picked up battlefront

Just been round to his, and he bobbed it on, I had a go at the Hero bit with Fett, that was awesome, and went on the Hoth and Endor parts, got to say it's bloody awesome, especially flying an Xwing beggars canyon looks fantastic and great from the little I've seen.

Nice pick up on the PS4! I so wanted MS to do another SW X-Box for this release as the R2 console version of the 360 was epic. Sony have made some sort of effort but a Vader sticker wasn't enough of an effort to pry me away from Microsoft! I have the 1TB X-Box One arriving courtesy of Smyths Toys tomorrow, but had to go an collect the game from the store (60 mile round trip!) today (long story). Decided to make it worth the trip so asked nicely if they had any spare promo items for the title and the helpful staff were only too happy to assist. Only one of the cardboard cubes but I like the graphics.

It's tricky getting used to controls especially when playing heroes. No idea what i'm doing with most of them. Flying is also a bitch! I think there's an option to invert the controls. Has anyone done that. Does it make flying easier? When I press down I want the ship to go down not ****ing up!

Quality! If it's going up when you press down that is inverted, you will have to turn it off. I know what you mean though, I can't stand that inverted ****.

That's the standard set up! I should consult Jez on this matter - he's an authority on things that fly about. Do helicopters and stuff go down when you press up on the joy stick thingy? :lol:

Really? That's wierd, I think nearly every first person shooter I've ever played has an option in the controls setup to invert the vertical axis making up down and down up. I can't do it like that, like you when I press up I want the ****er to go/look up!
