Barcelona trip at the weekend and star wars shop visit.

Had a nice trip over the weekend to barcelona and tried finding this alien shop that sold vintage star wars, which we did in the end heres a few pics.....

We had a lovely time, locals all very nice and welcoming! The weather was great along with the delicious beer
Wasn't hoping for much in terms of the Star Wars hunt, which took awhile to find as it had moved, luckily a comic shop pointed us in the right direction. It was a shop dedicated to all things Star Wars which was mainly the new stuff but also 2 cabinets full of vintage, nothing loose though and very overpriced so I was happy to walk away with my wallet full, just managed to sneak those 2 pictures as there was a big 'no photos' sign up.

I agree with poncho though, should've brushed up on my Spanish as the language barrier was a bit of a problemo.

And nice to finally put a photo of me up on the forum so that you guys on here can put another face to a member

Ah man with priorties in place! Love it. I had a weekend break not long ago. While away said i was popping to supermarket...i wasnt i researched ahead and whacked a postcode of a collectables and off i went.... no vintage in the shop in the end lol

a few years ago i searched high and low for vintage in brussels but found bugger all apart from getting really pissed in the afternoon and spending a £100 on records and smurfs :roll:

Records and smurfs :lol: :lol: I literally could not think of anything more random to go shopping for in Brussels while pissed ...unless Brussels is the Smurf capital of Europe :? Brilliant!

I've been a couple times never seen any vintage Star Wars. Plenty of other random stuff though.

Perhaps you can succeed where I failed. :?

I read a thread On RS once which said there are 3 shops in barca that sell vintage star wars. I cant remember which though. I remember one was near the sagrada familia, which had a huge amount of vintage in the store from looking at the pictures.

That's a decent amount of vintage in one place. Looks like an old toy shop (if you mentally remove all of the AFA cases) 8)

Yeah it does. I couldn't get a photo in time of the top shelf but it was full of early bird stuff in Afa cases aswell

Nice to see a shop selling that amount of vintage but not surprised its silly money. Buy from dealers on forums. Its definitely the cheapest way.

What did you think of Barca itself. I thought it was a great city when I was there earlier in the year. I would definitely recommend a long weekend there.

I really loved the city, and couldn't get over how warm and sunny it was only a few days from christmas, I would have liked at least another 2 days there really to have done everything and I'm still kicking myself for not going to see a match at the nou camp.

I went to Berlin and Porto earlier in the year and really really enjoyed Berlin, it's like a much cooler london with better beer and bars/nightclubs plus the gothic architecture is really cool, if you've not been I highly reccomend it

Tracked down this old thread and managed to find this store. Now called Cosmic Star Wars but good to see vintage in the flesh.

The staff were bizarre and initially refused to let me see in the cabinet, but tried to show me their online stock but just came up with the VOTC stuff.

Finally they called in a guy from elsewhere who did open up the cabinet. Lots of yellow bubbles but prices weren't bad, and lots of AFA.

Still worth the trip
