Ok ...I will weigh in on this one...after an extensive read of that RS thread. For one none of us knew she had a disability...and no one would know that based on a typo. This is a 14 year old girl.......never knew that either. This is not a kids forum (IMO) nor do I understand why or how a 14 year old would have funds to collect toys no where near their generation. It appears that Jordan is pimping her out to sell toys......I am confused. I agree this is not a forum for a 14 year old girl...just a forum for adults to act like they are 14 years old. As far as the Palitoy story goes......Well I get an image of a 14 year old girl and a perverted adult collector...sorry...just my opinion...take it for what it is.

Also as far as suggestions of changing how we run things here.....we are not TIG or RS (No offence..but that is what makes us the top forum...again..IMO). A comment was made that we are uptight...I almost spit my Kool-aid out on that one.....nothing could be further from the truth.

As for the disability thing. She needs to have thick skin. I have dyslexia and very mild cereabal palsy myself but I doubt find this or any forum for that matter offensive or anti disabled. I have never made it clear public knowledge as IMO it doesnt need to be there are 1000s out there with he same disability I have that cant talk walk read write or even feed themselves so i find myself very lucky IMO.

Personally...If Jordan is involved in this...It could spell the end for his show and blow up in his face. Not a smart move latching onto what we assume is a teeenage girl.

I for one will stop watching his show as I am not into semi-scams, sales pitches and suspect pedophile activities. If she is lying...he better chime in on RS.

Yeah jordan needs to chime in for sure, cause if she is lying? Shes running his name in the dirt. Add if it is true, then (as TieFighterBoy said) will not watch his show again. Obviously this child needs help, what she post in other forums and her twitter screen name says it all. This is the reason why I keep my daughter away from the Internet until she's old enough to be responsible!! And as a parent is supposed to do I monitor whatever she does on her phone and on the computer. Hopefully this is just bullshit cause it is very disturbing indeed. I pray for this new generation.

Just caught up with things here, it was an interesting few hours last night on RS!

I don't know what to make of the Jordan connection either guys, I semi guessed it as I knew there was some kind of relationship going on there with him and her, I have no idea what that actually is but I agree choosing a teenage girl with no real experience to sell a set of figures like that was not a good idea.

I find the entire thing weird, Jordan has the time to do this himself so why isn't he? Or why isn't he asking one of companies employees or even a friend with a history in the hobby?

One thing I found strange was her asking for donations to go on a field trip at school on her twitter page and Jordan helping out..that seems like a close relationship to me but as I said I have no idea what this is all about. Maybe he just feels sorry for her or wants to hire her for his show - either way if you trust someone to find a buyer for you, you make sure you arm them with all the information to provide to potential buyers ahead of time, you do not get someone with virtually no experience in that field going around looking for buyers in your name if you have a reputation like he has.

I just don't get it- one of the strangest things to have ever happened on the boards that is for sure. Might be a perfectly plausible explanation for all of this but if there is I can't see it!

Will see what happens I guess, maybe Jordan will come forward with all the info soon in light of all this.

People on RS are acting like new sellers with no proof of owning the items they are claiming to sell should be treated like respected dealers just because of their age or gender..I would have locked that thread whoever had posted it because it was just a stupid way to go about business.

If my teenage daughter handed out her email address to a ton of horny star wars geeks...I would have a problem. This is messed up all the way around. RS seems to like the female presense weather they are under age or just mentally ****ed. We joke alot about stuff on here...but seriously...this does not make them look good whatsoever.

To the seller of these Palitoys

Even if there are a legit set of 12 back Palitoys up for grabs at say £25k and I had the money (which I don't) and wanted to buy them, after the way they have been 'marketed' and from reading all the posts here and RS I would never part with ANY cash for them.

I'm sure I'm not alone and a valuable lesson hopefully as been learnt.

Well......just a heads up for the wild bunch. She has posted pictures on RS and now they are for sale. She mentioned she is working with Jordan on the deal and not to contact him. Anybody that has enough experience with the Palitoy 12 backs should check out the pictures to confirm if they are real or not. I for one only know about Kenner product. But, I am curious to know if these pieces are legit. Sorry just some of that caliber is worth asking questions about.

Is a set of palitoy 12 backs seriously worth 20-25 k?

We all know that a chewie sold for 5.5k not so long ago but is that sale price now taken as the norm or do serious palitoy collectors consider it to be a bit of a freak auction? Would we expect the next chewie to sell for 5.5k or more?

I would like to see the breakdown of how a set is worth 20-25k figure by figure. Some go for thousands but others go for around 400-500 pounds don't they?

Just curious so would like to hear some views on this.

Her reaction to a bit of banter raises red flags. I was chasing these when she was being born and this would be a massive undertaking for me.

If she is being taught about brokering and dealing, why not start small?

Kenner Babe- This is tough love ok?- you are way out of your league. I know this seems exciting but lots can go wrong. If the deal goes wrong, what are your plans?

Tell your parents what you are doing or involved.

I mean, maybe the association between these two is totally innocent and he actually is taking her under his wing and teaching her this stuff. But to take this set on as your first learning experience seems insane! The whole thing seems highly inappropriate to me. I don't know Jordan nor have I ever dealt with him but this just seems weird and unprofessional to me. Based on his reputation, it's not what I'd have expected. I guess we just have to wait and see...
