Hoping someone may have a tip or two..

a friend has a tusken raider moc but over the last year there has been some black growth spreading over the cape. Hes tried leaving it in sunlight, no joy and was wondering if anyone had some home remedial cure all..The blister is fine, just the cape...

Hi Robert,

It sounds like some kind of fungi (yes guys, fungi can also affect plastics :shock: ). In this case UV or bleach can kill fungi, but it seems that UV doesn't work out. And the bleach can only be applied by taking the figure from it's blister :shock: :?

Was it ever graded by the AFA? I only ask as I have a Leia Bespin which has done the same thing, seemingly after it was graded (I didn't have it graded myself and it was like this when I purchased it). As seen on this valuation thread:

As mentioned above I don't know how to get rid of it, but I suspect it's some reaction in the vinyl itself rather than mould growing on it.
