Ok guys, quick question:

How many cards was the B-wing pilot seen on ??? and did they produce any variations of him ??

Just asking as im starting out on a quest to build a nice focus

Three - Trilogo, POTF and obviously ROTJ

No major variations, although there are a couple of different COO placings

Can't get a lot easier

I am not sure if there is anyone else out the with this focus - you could look on RS

Luckily (or unluckily..) for you Steve focuses pretty much just on B-Wing pre production:

He has things pretty much wrapped up though so good luck finding anything to compete with him lol!

Production wise there are just the ROTJ Kenner + POTF Kenner, couple of Trilogo variations (one is super cool though)..can't think of much more. There is the coin of course but a POTF MOC is cheap as chips and includes one..

I did start one of these but as Joe pointed out its pretty much wrapped up in terms of preproduction stuff. There are some nice variations, I thinks its around 7 not including the Trilogo bubble variations.

So..

First card appearance: Kenner 77back

That means you can get a 77a (offerless) 77b (Anakin offer) and then the same for the 79 back- 79a (offerless) and 79b (Anakin offer)

You can also get a coin offer variation, so effectively you could find a coin offer on all of the above, resulting in:

77a + coin offer
77b + coin offer
79a + coin offer
79b + coin offer

POTF has only one card type but perhaps if you got lucky you could find a coin offer on the POTF card- be a nice variation if so.

Trilogo wise:

Palitoy
Clipper
Meccano (super rare)
PBP Hybrid - http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=53146 (my fav variant)

That takes you to a possible 14 carded variations if you went nuts on it, if you don't want to take it that far I would suggest just a nice offerless version of each - Kenner ROTJ, Kenner POTF and Trilogo.

Yeah I was sure there was a ledy carded version too. Steve Danley's collection is awesome. Loving his preproduction run. The artwork is incredible. 8)

Damn, i got B-wing envy.

Thats it from now on im gonna do my best to track all of the above down. Best put in for some overtime for the next year or 10

already seen 77 and 79 Kenner so it's just the anakin offer that makes it the difference between a+b (77) ???

He also came out in a 7 pack ROTJ Mailer (Heroes set) consisting of: Leia Poncho, Wicket, Han Trench coat, Prune Face, Paploo and Teebo (all bagged)

Was never a mail away figure on his own though.

There are probably some bagged variations - Frank can help you there (off the top of my head I can think of..ROTJ-F (common) and probably the ESB-H :)

Wow Nice collection Steve has .

There are also the Anakin + Coin offer variation you can look for .

Some days ago there where a lot of miscards for sale on RS . I think there where a pilot with two guns in the bubble.

Good luck with the hunt mate :)

great idea for a starter figure focus as its a relatively speaking small & inexpensive run, with most of the baggies being pretty cheap to pick up as well.

These are the ones I know of -

Good luck with the run Tim, makes a change from loosies, I already dread to think of the state of the LA thread next week

I saw an amazing piece a while back where a devout fan had turned an actual vintage B Wing into an electric guitar!! Yep. That's dedication. I was pretty amazed. Hey it may have played like a piece of ****, who knows but still... what a unique piece.

Yep thats it. I sent the link to Steve Danley when it came up for sale but I dont think he bought it. I think its wicked! 8)
