AT-ST driver

Hi guys

I bought a batch of loose figures in the early 90s from Memorabilia.
When it came to inspect them at home before displaying, I noticed the back of this AT-ST driver.
I have absolutely no idea if it was applied at a later date by a collector or not so would like to show it here and ask if any loose figure experts have seen one like it before?
It doesn't appear to be hand written, it looks stamped and is more paint than ink.

It looks like it might be Letreset. As a kid, I thought that Letrasetting onto everything ( except Star Wars toys ) was the height of brilliance.
