If anyone's interested this is till up in Brighton opposite the Level park. It was done in September of last year and is holding up remarkably well.

The whole piece must be about 40 - 50ft high, some skill involved as you can see its painted over a lip that sticks out about 3ft.

That's amazing. I may have to pay it a visit at some point. I surprised it's still there. Things like that in london don't last very long. They tend to get painted over by the council or vandalised by taggers.
A beautiful Banksy piece was painted over by the council in Camden recently. Nobs.

The guy who did it AROE has a lot of big pieces all over Brighton, his stuff is so good and tends to not get painted over out of respect for his skills. Well worth a visit if you're down this way, directions are below

There's no such respect given in London.

This amazing piece was painted by Banksy a few years ago in Chalk Farm.

After a few months it looked like this...

The council eventually painted over it and stripped the wall. It's now been replaced by this ugly ass leopard. Commissioned i believe! ?!

Some of the most incredible street art i'd ever seen was bought together on Leake Street about 2 years ago. Loads of well known street artists got together to create an entire streets worth of art and graffiti with permission from the council. Banksy and many other well known artists covered the 200 yard alley/street in some of the most amazing art you'll ever see. There was a grand opening for press and the public. I went a few weeks after. Was just amazing!

I revisited it late last year to show a friend the pieces that blew me away...
but they're all gone. Covered from top to bottom by talentless taggers. About 100-200 or so separate pieces. Gone.
Looks like this now. Tragic.

That was the Cans Festival from 2008...some nice stuff there. I create stencil spray pictures of my kids that take an absolute age to cut out so the amount of work involved in one of those pieces must be epic.

Yeah, That's right, the 'Cans Festival' did you manage to pay it a visit?
There were so many incredible pieces. Some of them were massive too! Shame it didn't last very long but really glad i got to see it.

Its good but its no Big Dave'e Gusset at London Bridge, now sadly gone:
