Are these Toy Tonis?

Apologies first if I have put this on the wrong section of the forum, or anything else. I'm new and am yet to work it all out.

Anyway, in November 2014 I took a small batch of carded figures over to the AFA in person. I was going on a fly drive that started in Atlanta. All the figures were graded successfully, but was told that my Boba Fett matched the suspected cardback on the Toy Toni list, and there was currently no way to differentiate a real from a TT. This was the first I'd heard of this scandal. Once back I identified 2 more of my figures that matched the suspect list. A Lando Skiff, and a Hoth Trooper. I bought these about 20 years ago from toy fairs, so I assume before Toy Toni had a website? Does anyone know when the resealing took place?

Recently when speaking to the AFA, I was informed they now have enough information to tell if a figure is a Toy Toni, but before I risk sending these over and wasting my time and money, I was wondering if any of you can tell from the photos if they are original.

Thanks

The Boba Fett looks like a Toni, its the narrow double stemmed bubble he used. Almost all 45c back Boba Fetts are.

The Lando skiff 65c is fine as it uses a bubble with a separate hat compartment. Toni didn't use these.

The snowtrooper (I assume it's a 65 back?) is also fine. There are gaps at the bottom of the bubble seal where the
factory sealer was also configured for sealing double stemmed bubbles.

Hope that helps!

cheers Jason

Brilliant thanks. I was looking at this Fett graded 90 in this post as a confirmed TT and it has a square bubble, not stemmed like mine? did he use different bubbles? http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19154

Ha, that's the one I used to have!

Toni used that rectangular bubble and the narrow double stemmed bubble principally for Palitoy Fett 45c.

The guys on here are far better at identifying them than AFA are mate.

Plus you would be wasting you money as I believe the AFA won't Grade TTs anymore

Jason is spot on by the way - Fett is and other aren't

This was an email reply to me from the AFA "yes, after all the research the graders feel that they have enough information in order to differentiate some of the original figures from the Toy Toni resealed ones. "

I'm not saying they can't identify them, but their "research" is the work the guy who has already answered your question above put in

That is the first time I have ever seen anything from AFA acknowledging that they are 'toy tonis'
