Han Hoth Proof

He had this at CE and was asking 2K then so this is a bargain

Does anyone know why the POTF proofs are so expensive, I assume there must be a few of these around (less than 5?) but there's only 10 or so ROTJ HH proofs and they're less than £200.

Any ideas?

here it is,, but i got caught short with my printer , iam running out of ink and as i run it at max to get the best when doing cardbacks its not as good as i could get it..... i'll give it another go soon and take a bit of time over it !
sorry about the star case its in **** condition and i did relise how bad the photo was until i uploaded it ... wait till i do a perfect copy then i'll post better photo's

how do you print them?? on card or paper??

semi-gloss photo paper, but the printer is kicking out a **** print quality i will have to wait until i get another colour print catridge before i attempt it again.... anyway not bad for 10 minutes work on my photo package !

but when i get the printer back to normal i will go to work,,,,,, what i usually do if iam ripping off a expensive/rare card is get a original card of the same nature ( 12 or 92 back etc..) and print the copy of the front on semi gloss photo paper, let it dry for a day then peel the back of the paper from the gloss front ( very tricky- razor blade job) then i gule this to the front of the original card , i then place that under something heavy between two thick mag's ( fhm or something) keep it there for a day then take it out trim it ( if i need to) then bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt.......... a forge ! 8) :evil: :roll: :wink:

Nice effort Han, the fact it's in a star case makes it look more authentic, i look forward to your next effort.

From the sounds of it your forgery methods are a close match to the real tri-logo cards. I've owned a few genuine ones where the front image has started to seperate from the back, the glossy tri-logo fronts seemed to be of quite poor paper quality.

Make a few madines and jawas and you could be minted :wink:

How good is your printer Han?

On mine I find the blacks print a very dark blue and i'll leave ink fingprint marks on the glossy cardfront.

Thats why I now print my stuff off in work - on a colour laser printer 8)

I had the problem with the dark blue instead of black. Solved it by printing on matt paper. Means the card isn't glossy as an original, but thats a good thing

its not just the printer though you need to get you image on a photo package and bugger about with it , my tip is make it look darker then you need it to be as i find there is a big difference what you see on the screen and what you get out of your printer... exagerate your colours a bit !!! i **** the first time i did it it looked like a real cardback proof !
