If it's kosher then not a bad price considering all the Palitoy madness recently. I was tempted but couldn't quite bring myself to bid (and not know 100% if it's real).

I didn't but it is fine, just goes to show how top tier condition is so sought after when compared to this examples end price.

That was me. Seeing as the one at Vectis went for £1680, this seemed like bargain of the century. I spoke to owner beforehand to check for touch ups and bubble condition, as I want graded. Grading within the eBay money back time frame will also confirm it's genuine.

Was tempted myself and a Palitoy Sand People was on last night for 350 BIN and looked pretty good as well and not surprisingly didn't last long!

I cant see a crack? Looks like a reflection on the edge to me?

On the Lando - its not in great shape and is probably about the value, IMO. Didn't the last one at vectis go for about £500?

There abouts 8)

I was hovering over 'bid' on that, hoping you hadn't been dragged away from your desk

Good score on the Lando

That's far more like early 2000's price.

Can't believe one would go for nearly £2k

Wonder if there's some panic buying going on?

I'm not sure about panic buying in itself, I just think it's a combination of things. If all these stories are true - Hollywood Heroes (or Studios) buying, plus some people buying to speculate (we've seen some in the US now), plus the SW:TFA hype and Fett 30 back hype, and then others buying because the stuff is just such decent quality it's not really surprising that prices are staying high. There's definitely a couple of recent one's that look like panic buying - Greedo, Leia etc.

But I agree 100% - £2k is nuts for that Lando

Just in front of his right foot/Gaffi stick as the bubble curves from the bottom stem you can see a tiny crack and discolouration between the two or maybe its just my eyes! :)

Bit of a strange story for you. The guy that listed that Tusken contacted me earlier this year for help with his entire collection. Most of his stuff is in bad nick (crushed/cracked bubbles etc) but his Tusken was the nicest of the lot so I advised he aim for an amount closer to £1k for the Tusken Raider given recent prices and the fact that it was his best condition figure but also told him to take his time, take extra pictures etc etc and what does he do? He goes and lists it for £350 BIN!!

I feel bad for him as he's a nice chap and he actually emailed me yesterday to let me know he had listed a few bits including that one. In his email he asked if I thought he should he be worried about the fact that within 10 mins of listing it he had already received an offer of £300..needless to say by the time I had read his email this morning it was already sold...too late to tell him to pull it - doh!

Well, I bought it so its staying on the forum at any rate.

£1k is far too high though - I know of one which is pretty near mint which has been unsold for months at £650. Don't believe all of the Palitoy hype... there are a few wealthy collectors who have been completing runs over the past couple of months; this is where a lot of the silly priced ones have gone and once those spaces are filled, prices get much more sensible.

Glad you got it Max, I actually told him around the £800 mark last time I spoke to him, figured if it didn't sell at that price he could always come down but either he didn't listen or didn't read my email? lol

Either way it's ended up with a collector and not a dealer so alls well that ends well.

I think that's a good price. Original UK showing of Lando, a really nice card to own, congrats.

Cheers. Shows it's good to do your research so when a rare bargain comes up you know what to pay. If I didn't note the prices from the Vectis sale I wouldn't have given this a second look.
