Hello gents
I recently needed to buy a "cheap" runaround basically to drop my daughter back at her mums on a wednesday when my missus is working.
Anyway I found a "bargain" on ebay and decided to go have a look with a view to buying, the car looked good enough for it's age (vw golf 1999) and I decided after a little test to buy the ****er...
This is where my problems began,on the way home the exhaust started making a loud noise but I was aware it needed a new box for this so wasnt concerned...
I then went to insure the car and got promptly told it was a category D write off  ,I was able to insure the car and it didnt cost anymore money,I am just seriously pissed that the **** didnt inform me and to be honest dont have a clue what the term Cat D means?
I have been in touch with the seller since and there is a chance I can get a deal to get my dollar back, but I am not holding my breath...
Does anyone know anything about this or have had similar dealings?
For the record we are only talking £1000 but I am only a self employed landscaper and that cash could be used so much better lol!
Look forward to seeing what you guys know about this topic...
Stefan
