Had a call today from a guy called 'Marty' in North Wales. Told me he had got my number form 'the internet' and was going through an expensive divorce and needed some money. He had a 'substantial' vintage Star Wars collection for sale because 'his dad used to work for Kenner'. He had all the figures carded. Multiples of most of them. Some of them had 'foreign writing all over the front'. He also had a 'strange Boba Fett which was unpainted and actually fires a little missle out the back'.

So I asked him for evidence. Turns out it is at his ex wives house and I would have to deal with her. He was looking for about £4K for the lot.

Anyways, I have his number, and his ex wives number. If anyone wants to follow up on this 'deal of a lifetime' AKA clear scam, then pm me and I will give you the numbers. Im actually really interested to see where the scammy bit actually kicks in.

If its Marty McFly I would believe every word of it, amazing what you can get hold of with a converted Delorean, other wise I don't think I would touch this with a barge pole...

What a surprise he has a fabled rocket firing Fett, from England? Did any of these even surface in the UK?

But hey, I'm just sceptical, it might be fun to give him a call either way...

He Dad used to work for "kenner"? Theres a flaw. I find it highly unlikely he would have moved to the uk?

Wow some people have some ****ing balls!
I guess the scam would be a load of beater cards with little value and then the fake fett to make people buy the lot at way above their actual value.

I'm not even sure it's beater cards and fakes. The scam would seem to be the fact that the collection is 'with the ex wife'.

So if I was to call her (he gave me her number) she would maybe demand money upfront to release the collection to him. Then both would vanish off the face of the Earth.

I can see the headlines now.
