i cant wait, alien prequel of such! ridley scott is directing should be good, however the trailer kinda gives the the plot away, they should of just stuck to the teaser trailers

I'm considering going to the cinema for this even though I don't like cinemas, too crowded, people talking, coughing, smelling,
and I HATE teenage girls yapping....
If I had the funds, I would buy all the seats and see it all alone. :p

i watched the dark knight in my cinema about 5 weeks after release and it was just me and my mate watching pretty much which was cool . so id leave it till about 4 weeks after release and go in the afternoon or summut if you want some peace theres nothing more annoying than rustling food behind you

Not a bad idea, only thing is, the nearest cinema is hour half away, in a city with only one cinema, might be more than 4 weeks until
most people have seen it :p
So we'll see.

And please refrain from posting spoilers on here after you guys have seen it :p

Only half hour away you lucky bloody bastard try 2 hours & still only a one cinema town  bustin to see this, lukily I am heading to the city when its on to catch up with family, so I will be taking this in - can't bllody wait - I freeking love Alien films. :p

Another in the can't wait camp.

I've deliberately not watched the full length trailer. I've seen the teasers, and we all know roughly what's gonna happen, but I'd like to go in without knowing the whole bloody plot.
I'm kinda hoping this isn't another let down, last time I was this keen to see a film was "I am Legend" and my god was it a disappointment!

I am going to see it at the iMax, but to be honest I'm not expecting much. I just seem to hate new films. Everyone raved about The Dark Knight, I thought it was shite! I hate all this over-acted, over-done CGI, over-the-top action scenes crap.I just want to see a good old fashioned action/horror film with some cool aliens and some tough people trying to kill them. I bet what we will get is amazingly beautiful looking women doing ridiculous Bruce Lee style moves on Aliens that have 7 million moving parts just to make it look 'realistic'

Yes I am bitter, but I haven't enjoyed a single remake/prequel etc as long as I can remember.

Now that you mention it, I'm struggling to think of one.
Avengers last weekend was decent enough.

The latest Indiana Jones film is a good example. What made Harrison Ford and other classic action heroes like Clint Eastwood cool and likeable in the first place was that they were average blokes - slightly clumsy, always hungover, and fight like real men. It was believable. Then in the fight scenes in the new one, he is doing these ridiculous dancing moves that looks like a ****ing Britney Spears concert. I HATE choreographed fighting, if you want to see that rubbish, go and watch High School the Musical,. It should not be in an Indy film!

Rant over

Oh, don't get me started on the last Indy film. Gutted they made that shite. I was standing up abusing the screen when the kid was swinging with the monkey's.

Transformers is another one. Apparently realistic but accurate Transformers wouldn't be good enough for today's audience, so they had to give each one a zillion tiny 'extra' moving pieces so that instead of looking like a Transformer, it looks like a swarm of bees! WHY!?

Couldn't agree more. Micheal Bay represents everything thats wrong. :x

Keeping an open mind for Prometheus. :?

Also looking forward to it. Trip to the big smoke for sure. As always hope its not a let down. Indy rubbish, transformers rubbish but did quite enjoy the new rambo lol.

I still maintain the cartoon film from the 80's is head and shoulders above the new ones. Ok, I've only seen the first of the new ones but from what I've heard they haven't improved since

i like the transformers films but will never get my head around why bumblebee isn't A ****ING BEETLE!!!!
sorry

The Transformers films are good as long as you take them for what they are. If you never saw the cartoons, you would enjoy them. Had they made them more akin to the cartoon. i.e megatron as a gun, bumblebee as a beetle etc, they would appeal more.
