I'll try and find the link in my feedback and see if it's the same guy.
BTW the transaction went fine and the item arrived safe and sound. However I was shittin a brick for a while as I was checking the Royal Mail site for tracking updates and it kept stating'Your item has been passed overseas to be delivered in FRANCE!!!'

Hi all,
Just thought to bump up this old thread to introduce myself as I just chanced upon this thread talking about me
My name is Mark Yeo and I am from Singapore. My eBay ID is marky024yeo.
I am on Rebelscum more often and my RS ID is Mark_Yeo.
It is true that when I make inquiries on and/or do transactions and deals, I do have the following specific shipping requests:-
1. Package to be sent with tracking;
2. Package to be marked as a "gift"
3. If the value is in excess of GBP 190, to have the package plus cost of shipping capped at GBP 190; and
4. Insurance is optional if at no additional cost and if capped at GBP 190.
Guys who have dealt with me before would see this familiar request from me. The reason for this shipping request is that shipment of items into Singapore which are declared as a gift and for under SGD 400 (about GBP 190) is exempt from 7% VAT.
Where there is insurance coverage that exceeds GBP 190, it usually means that the declared value would then have to exceed GBP 190. For this reason, I do ask that there be no or only limited insurance coverage. Whenever I make such a request, I do say that I will be responsible for any loss or damage to the package in the post. I am good to my word on this and luckily, I have not had any trouble from packages sent from the UK to Singapore. Singapore postal system is pretty solid in this regard.
Cheers,
Mark
