Not a big fan of AFA but I'll admit for certain pieces it works well and some items actually look really good encased in plastic.

This one is Transformers not Star Wars but I can't beleive how **** it looks, firstly I reckon it would've looked better if it was in robot pose and secondly the way the accessories have just been chucked in a heap in a separate space just looks turd.

crazy

Another reason why I dislike AFA. I agree that some stuff does look good displayed in plastic and I would prob only buy certain things AFA to prove authenticity, but htis looks utter ****. Plus the accessories surely will get damaged rattleing around in there.

Yep

Often casing something in acrylic looks great it brings it to life and showcases it, other times it just entombs it and doesn't do it justice, this is the latter.

There is a vintage Star Wars AFA item sealed in a cardboard box on ebay at the moment, a mail away for the tidy sum of £1500. I could just imagine the girlfriend's expression if I showed her I paid £1500 for a plain cardboard box in acrylic!

I know theres a vintage item inside that would decrease in value if it were opened, but it would feel a bit like owning Schrödinger's cat!

Although I'm not a fan of AFA, the rarer MOC Star Wars figures have their place and look great in the acrylic cases.

This however looks crap.

I saw a Lego Cloud City boxed AFA item in a huge acrylic case - it was basically a cardboard box in a plastic case - looked worse than the transformer.

I think in general AFA do a terrible job of casing/displaying loose graded items. Ii've yet to see any that don't look shite.

Casing a MOC or a MISB item is pretty much a no brainer, you don't need to do a huge amount. But when it come to loose items they seem to manage to make them look utter shite every single time. Take talent to do that!
