I am just going to buy this one and imagine it's a tri-logo

Same thing right?

If you are going to buy that one then Oli is a member on here and will probably do you a good deal outside of eBay

Yep sure is and happy to do a deal for any SWFUKer's that are interested.

As you know its the exact same bubble as the Tri Logo Madine so about as close as you are going to get to the Tri Logo!

Best offer has been accepted on it

Not really surprised, a lot of people that want one of these have the money sitting around for it when one turns up. Was in nice condition too.

I reckon it sold for 6K (and a bit)

It does look in great condition but $6k for a General Madine MOC :)

Any idea on how many of these are thought to exist?

I know there are about 5-7 confirmed in collections in the UK, possibly a similar amount in the states. There are a couple in Spain, Germany and France of course so I would imagine that there are at least 15 out there that people are happy for others to know exist. Maybe another 15+ in black hole collections and all the ones left to discover :)

Yep although it's all comparable I guess and it's always going to be the only figure people will struggle to pick up if they want to finish a Trilogo set, it's not really about it being popular at all it's just the fact that if you want to do the set he's one you gotta get.

$10-15K Rocket Fett prototypes are similar yet there are (apparently) upwards of 90 of them out there (albeit different variations/stages) which is pretty mind boggling.

this is not a beauty.

in small writing 1 paragraph down lol

''This figure is in mint condition and has been handpicked due to its vibrant and excellent paint work, to be painstakingly fully restored to its own Star Wars, Tri Logo 79 backing card, a masterpiece replica card and genuine mint replica blister. The invisible reseal is seamless on this exquisite flat deluxe double sided punched card with tab remaining''

as a reproduction card and blister does look very good mind!

Lol, even an amateur MOC collector like me can see its got the wrong bubble for a Tri Logo Madine! Doh :)

Oh dear, the scammers have jumped on the band wagon after seeing the real one sell. :(

Always chuckle when I read how a mint condition figure has been handpicked and painstakingly restored on to an amazing condition vibrant card but the idiot uses the wrong bubble so it sticks out like a sore thumb!

Probably not, based on experience... but at least this guy points out it is fake. I reported some guy selling fake 12-back Chewies as the genuine article a couple of weeks ago (for $250!) and never got a response from ebay. Tossers.

i wonder if its worth reporting his 2 cards as reproductions, or will ebay not give a **** :x

I did, the way he buried the reseal comment half way down the description annoyed me. I also told someone on Ebay that if they wanted to sell stuff they shouldn't be an illiterate moron. So I may just be grumpy.

seller has now listed some repro meccano backs! ones already at £20.....http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/mickamac4a11/m.html?item=330944014890&pt=UK_Collectables_SciFi_fantasyCollectables_EH&hash=item4d0dccea2a&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
