You guys wouldn't understand- you weren't there man!!!!!
Ahem. I have spent two days at that auction, viewing on Thursday and bidding on Friday. There was some great stuff, I photographed every lot so I can upload these I required.
I was so excited about the two palitoys, I was prepared to go high on those... Almost fell over when I saw the bubbles has been "scalped". I still bid £100 as they both display nicely and- it's Ben!! Got to be one of the toughest to find 12 backs. Unpunched too
The weapons lot went crazy- probably 300-400 weapons, nothing particularly rare- the best was a lummat bow. at least 20% of them were repro and there were quite a few with broken straps etc. They sold for a quite incredible £310 plus commission (20%)
The Vc jawa pictured was fake...... The colour and cut were good but not cross hatching and it was waaaay to thick. The buyer was convinced it's the real deal
Of the figure lots there were two great lots-
First up Amanaman, barada, ev9d9, pop up r2, luke poncho and the four last 17 ewoks. I was buying to sell- so I went to £160-170, the buyer paid about £220 (plus commission!!)
The other niiiiiice figure lot was a minty mint minto Yak face and an excellent blue snag with only two microscopic paint rubs on the feet. I really wanted them! Again I went to £200 an they sold for £230.
I did buy some great stuff though- so it was worth it. I thought I stood a chance of a bargain but when it turned up on the saleroom I was a little worried. Luckily the auction house did a fairly terrible job of cataloguing.
