Hey guys. I'm trying to get lighting for my Diplay Unit. I think strip LED's are the ones but have a problem.

My prob is how? Each of the shelves are individual boxes so was going to run the strip lighting through slots at the top of each box like so...

BUT I would either be wasting the strip lighting that doesn't get exposed out side the box OR I would need small strips (width of each box) and join them together somehow.

The slots would prob be flush at the top but this is just a diagram to show what I mean. :)

Ham, I have just bought a display cabinet which has a pretty cool lighting solution in my opinion. My English is too limited to describe it though and I don't have your drawing skills so I'll take a picture tonight and post it.

Thanks Emiel much appreciated. Do the lights in the cabinet plug into the wall or are they on the main light switch?

Ah. I just saw your limelight and realise my solution won't work in your cabinet as mine's made of glass.

Just thought I'd share my update on my cabinet lighting thanks to some helpful advice from Jim on SWCC. :D

Just needs tidying up now and putting back together. Had 2 LED's over from one set of Xmas tree lights, snug fit! As a bonus they have different settings so can go Star Wars Disco man! lol! ;)

Cheers chaps. It's been great fun have to admit creating my own display unit and now adding the lighting has definately made it all worth while! :D

Will post pics when it's all neat n tidy! ;)
