Hi guys,

Just recently read a lot about the so called 'Toy Toni' carded figures and I am confused. Last year I bought a carded Hoth Stormtrooper, but I had mixed feelings about the pictures. Some blurry spots on the card, but hey, nothing special I thought. A slightly discolored bubble, but hey, ROTJ card. And I wanted this one for a long time.... Never heard of Toy Toni at that moment.

But after all the stories on the internet I think I've bought a Toy Toni carded figure. It's an unpunched ROTJ card (Palitoy) with a couple of striking details. Please look at the picture.

As I wrote it has some blurry spots or scuff marks at the front of the card. I also have noticed a V shaped imprint (triangle) at the bottom of the bubble. The blurry spots look like some traces of glue residue, but I am not sure. On the right-hand side the bubble has an irregular pattern.

What do you think? Toy Toni or not?

Cheers!

Mate it looks exactly like my TT Hothtrooper unfortunately. One of his early efforts.
Thanks mate! I bought it from someone who bought it 10 years ago from a scifi shop in Amsterdam. Guess they too didn't know it was a fake. Bummer  Do they still have some value?

Cheers!

They definitely have some value, as has been demonstrated recently with the sale of quite a few on ebay with full disclosure, but they were all afa graded as well, can it be returned? otherwise you could be looking at the face value of the figure plus a bit for the card and bubble.

Sucks that people have to do this sort of thing to take our hard earned cash from us.

It can't be returned and figure and card have a great display value. So I've decided to keep this one. Of all the carded figures I have this one is the black sheep, but hey, every family has it black sheep I suppose...

I agree it will display very well, if it was mine I would have it on display with no worries at all.

This TT situation is a joke, lot of dissapointed collectors out their. AFA shoulden't be missing those flaws either not with the price of grading.

Still a great display piece thow, one day a collection wont be complete without a TT sample :|
