I've told the wife about this and used it as leverage to buy more, 'if we ever get in trouble I can just sell some of my collection off'. That's what I've told her anyway. :lol:

Man, I would have to sell my collection and probably that of two other collectors to be able to pay off my mortgage (debt is a bad things.... :shock: ) - you're a lucky man to be able to sell not all of yours to pay off your mortgage. Best of luck - I imagine it will actually be quite fun to do the sell off in certain respects.

Absolutely. Selling off part of the collection doesn't mean I don't like SW anymore or don't love the things I'm selling. Like I said, it's just a restructuring. Grant, I'm going nowhere, dude. And I don't have an ROTJ FX-7 to sell you so go find your own :*

My collection can stand an ass-pounding in the short term. Just because the vehicles and most of my MOCs go just means I have room to finally get my loose set out of the box and on display. It also means the mailaway first 12 stand on its way and the acrylic case for it I'm picking up from FF can take pride of place. So many cool things I've got sat in boxes finally get an airing!

Mortgages are so much debt I don't think you should even consider it a debt, Ross. Consider it a lien on your property that you keep at bay through monthly contractual payments. That's easier to swallow, right? :lol:

I tell you what, if I do hit my target I know one thing for sure: my wife will never complain about any subsequent purchases. Well, not twice, anyway

But I've got 6 original stormtroopers, Some yellowed, No weapons, A ripped Obi Wan Kenobi cape, and a broken force pike available for sale. I too am looking to pay off my mortgage, Anyone offer me between £50k-£150k? :lol:

Seriously though, Good luck Simon, Actively immerse yourself into the selling process and it may become a fun aspect of still being a massive part of the hobby. I'm sure the end result will justify the effort.
