At least this went for a more realistic amount than was first asked -

Hopefully someone else out there has now completed their 12 back run……... is it you? :D

Ian

 ok I need to sit down, who the **** would pay so much for a chewbacca palitoy moc ?

Jeez  I'm glad I go budget and reseal, could never go down this route at these prices, bloody daft, I understand collectors who can afford to do so, collecting high end, but for me even if I had the expendable income for it I could never justify it

Looks beautiful though

And Lars...your swearing again!!

This seems to be one of the last figure people need for their 12 back Palitoy run so I think the price reflects that. The last one that sold over a year ago was also AFA 75 and went for 3660 GBP. The one before that wasn't even graded and went for 5500 GBP! Saying that I think this one was picked up at auction (vectis I think?), and I'm not sure what price was originally paid for it once all the fees were added.

There's money in that plastic!!

Well mine went for 5.6K ungraded but it was dead mint ended up grading AFA triple 85 :!:

I think that says it all for the value of these things at the moment. I'm thinking FB Luke would go for around the same in similar condition as he's a key piece to get and one that doesn't come up that regularly.

Glad I'm not trying to get a moc set up together, any thoughts of that are long gone.

I still hope to get a full set of Palitoy 12 backs one day but I refuse to pay more than £1000.
Unfortunately I need 3 hard ones Chewie, Ben and Han so I doubt I'll ever complete it. I'm guessing there's less than 10 chewies, and between 15-25 hans and bens.

I'd hope you could still pick up a Han for around the 1000 mark but those other two are always going to be high value. You just don't see them that often and people always ask quite a premium for them.

That's great to have the others though and maybe good quality reseals would work as place holders for now?

Best of luck with the hunt :D

cheers Ian but I'll never buy any reseals and I hope that none of 9 I have are ( unbeknown to me! ) reseals .
I'll just spend my pocket money on loose figures and mini-rigs :D Although, the prices for complete loose figures is going crazy these days too. Bri

Here's my original thread about it and just look at the first asking price! :o

I suppose it's worth putting out a ridiculous price first just to see if there's any millionaires desperate to complete their collection :D
