Anyone heard from Rich?

I sent a PM 13 days ago but as yet no response.

Send another  , as I have been dealing with Rich over the last few days & he seems to be a nice chap - just rather busy.

On another subject - funds have been sent for all the baggies.

Annoyingly I also contacted Rich on TIG after he posted his list, no reply yet the PM was read (the very same night not minutes after he posted his FS thread)

Now the item(s) I asked about are on ebay in a lot an entire month later (in fact more than a month)

I don't know why people post their wares on forums hoping for sales if they read yet don't reply to interested members who PM them?

Not bitter just not sure why that's all? I get the "busy busy" stuff but he read it! lol

Ok, Joe I wasn't gonna post but am now. TBH the guy likes to mess people around in my experience. To be brief I was going for the Power Droid 20bk and he was thinking about my offer which was X amount and said it will probably sell by the end of the week. So I waited and in between waiting I sent several emails to him asking about the condition of the bubble, lifting etc etc as this would determine my final offer if any. But had NOTHING back from him. Eventually he replied just stating it's SOLD sorry. I was like oh right, well thanks for replying to my emails. Again I asked about the bubble anyway and straight away a response saying no lifting bubbles fine or thereabouts. So I could have had it off him if he had communicated in a reasonable manor!
He then told another member that that HE had offered ME that same X amount! What the hell is that about as I'm sure if he actually DID so I would have accepted, seeing as it was ME who offered that price not HIM!

So make what you want from this but from what I take he does what he wants when he wants and when everything suits him!

Not impressed with the way this guy does deals tbh and wouldn't deal with him again as wouldn't be sure if I was getting a definate deal or not. Time waster!!

Interesting to read the above post by Tigerham

I actually know Rich fairly well having dealt with him a few times on a "face to face" basis...

He is a nice guy, reasonable in his prices if not slightly higher than average mainly because he knows what he has and knows roughly what he can get for them,it appears he has become a bit more of a dealer rather than collector recently but each to their own there!

In the blokes defence as Caswelbot stated earlier, he has just had a little one and that may have contributed to his actions....although i'm not saying it makes any sense why he did that after reading the previous posts.

Just thought i'd pipe up and say my bit about the bloke really!

Hey Browny, yeah sure maybe he's a nice bloke but a crap dealer. I know about him having a new addition to the fam etc etc but it's the way he traded and then blaintantly lied to another member about an offer! Doesn't make sense to do such a thing!

Sorry to hear about the above Ham.

I think from my point of view it just seems selective (it's probably not just that's how it comes across), there were people that probably PM'd before and after me that got a reply (at least that!) and then theres me that got diddly squat..

Sure I guess he may have opened the PM, read it and forgot but I guess its just annoying to know we could have worked a deal out a month ago and hes still got the items and trying to sell them so long after I asked about them.

As for Rich just becoming a parent, I am sure that has something to do with it all sure, his head must be all over the place at times and I will say a belated congrats to him, just yet again annoying to see he can post a list to drum up interest on two different forums and run ebay, go to auctions etc etc yet completely miss certain people when all they want to do is send him some money lol

Anyways, good luck on your sales Rich.

I must admit mate it's fairly odd behaviour, especially on the ebay listing stating they are from the "good old days",**** knows whats going!!

I'l email him and ask actually, maybe he has forgotten he has posted them up on loads of different forums or something?!

Well like your situation Joe, I really can't stand people with bad commmunication skills. It's takes 2 seconds for christ sake to send a quick reply, especially if you know they have read your PM or email!

Whatever.

Communication skills go a long way!

I have refrained from posting this but I think you should be aware of my experience:

I too have had a bad experience with Rich.

We settled on a deal for some cartoon droids and ewoks figures, the deal was I was to collect them from a toy show where he was selling. I paid up front via Paypal. We emailed to confirm details the day before the show (Friday) and we had crossed wires- we were attending different shows.
I paypalled him funds to cover postage and he was to send them on the Monday.

I then hear nothing for a week..... I pmed him to check he sent the figures and then had an email from Paypal informing me my funds had been refunded. No pm was sent back to me.
I pmed him asking what was going on and it transpires he took the figures to the show and sold them over the weekend.

Several things wound me up about this:
1) He had my cash for over a week
2) He took the figures to the show I had paid for (sort of understandable as a mistake)
3) He then sold them!!! (not really understandable at all!!)
4) He didn't tell me he sold them
5) He refunded me without explanation- I had to contact him!

His defence was he sold the figures as part of a job lot as it was easier to sell them as a group.
Pretty piss poor if you ask me- As soon as you receive payment you should do your damnedest to get things sent and to complete your end of the deal.

Not good Ed and exactly what I've been saying, bad tradesmanship!!

Seem's to be alot of this going on at the moment! Why the hell can't people just be honest and upfront plus communicate well? No communication, to me, equates to running away from something! Maybe doing a deal with another and can't face dealing with the original buyer!! Seems a bit yellow to me!

Yeah that's a ****ing piss-take Ed. Sorry to hear that mate. Some people are just out for themselves and to hell with everyone else. An agreement is an agreement in my book and should be broken under no circumstances. To say that is poor form is an understatement.

I too Pm'd Rich about a few and no response at all ( maybe it's because I'm a convict? ), sorry but as the father of a new born myself ( convicts breed convicts ) I fail to see that as a valid excuse for not paying a potential customer the respect of a response. I'll admit being slow sometimes to respond ( it's the convict in me ) to Pm's but I always do, my experience with Rich was obviously nothing compared to Ed's that's just to plain poor form ( very convict like! ).

I have never dealt with Rich myself but the issues with Ham, Ed and Ryan is pis poor form and as for poor communication- there are no excuses for that IMO. :?

Maybe he only deals with people that want 20 or more items? (tbh, I only pm'd because they were individually priced thinking that he was happy selling them one by one or a couple at a time..)

This does seem rather poor to be honest. Id like to hear what Rich has to say on these matters. :?

Personally i think unless the explanation is miraculously absolving the member ought to be banned. How is this any different to the behaviour of spammers. In fact spamming is a little less morally questionable.
