Hi chaps, just after some advice. I'm wondering how cards like this are viewed by the grading outfits. This is from a MOC I'm thinking of buying and getting graded. The ink doesn't appear to be a touch-up and is pointed out by the seller as a "mark". Should I steer clear?

Thanks :)

AFA won't grade it as it has ink touch ups. They will still case it, but will give you a report which is a diagram showing where and what it failed for. Not sure on UKG's stance on ink touch ups but I'm guessing I will be the same.

Maybe give Steve a quick email at UKG, as that looks like you say more of a 'mark' than an ink touch up. He'll give you the best advice.

Thanks for your help guys - that was my gut feeling as well but needed to know if I was being paranoid  I'll let you know what UKG say.

Good idea Nick :) if they are prepared to give things a U grading then this would surely be less harmful?

If it is just an ink mark you should be fine. I'm fairly sure I've seen graded figures with pen prices on them. This isn't any different It should just be ink hiding issues that stops something being graded
