Hey guys I have started collecting a few loose graded figures, can anybody tell me what some of the letters mean at the end of there overall grade?

I.e some say overall 90U, what does the U stand for?

Just bought a 85HK hoth stormy last night, what does the HK stand for?

If there is some kind of a list to understand more about these letters and meanings I would be greatful.

U stands for uncirculated. Means an unopened figure was sent to AFA who then opened it and stuck it in a little plastic box. Most collectors on here are anti U grading as it destroys the number of carded figures available out there. I would personally choose not to buy U graded figures if I was collecting graded loose figures, but it's everyones own to choice to make. I am sure others will chime in with their opinions also.

HK stands for Hong Kong and refers to the COO (Country of Origin) letters stamped on the back leg of the figure typically.

Hope that helps!

cheers Jason
